In my classroom, we practice listening and speaking daily using cooperative learning strategies. The addition of a Chromebook would give my students a much-needed boost of practice in the areas of listening and speaking. Students who are confident in their listening and speaking abilities will be ready to face the challenges of higher education and the workplace. Students will have the opportunity to download apps to aid in work with partners to practice and apply social skills, anger management techniques and calming down strategies. When students know how to control their own behavior, they become personally responsible for their actions and see their peer relationships improve.
