My students are currently learning programming. They are learning Java, Javascript, Python languages. With this knowledge, they are learning to make interactive games, programs, and software to engage with users. As they learn to use their programming knowledge, they seek to add a physical component to programming currently not present. With the addition of the Lego EV3 Mindset, the students form a bridge from their computer programming knowledge to a physical robot that they can program and control based on their programming that they perform. In the classroom, I plan on making this an integral component to the lesson plan and allowing the students to apply their programming knowledge in a way that provides tangible results. Provide the students with the engagement to interact not only with the robot, but also together as a team. This will help enable the students to explore and develop together as a team.
