  • Bringing Knowledge Through Technology

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so much for helping to fund the IPAD! I am so excited to be able to better deliver instruction to our students! With online learning, it has been challenging to explain various concepts. With the IPAD I will be able to draw diagrams for students to better explain concepts. In English and history, annotation is key to helping students obtain content so that they can be successful. The ipad allows me to model proper techniques so that students can get the key information. Thank you for helping to make remote learning less chaotic with your support!”

  • Flexible Stretching

    Funded May 6, 2020

Thank you so much for the purchase of the flyer stand! We are SO EXCITED to get it! As we were not able to stunt this year, due to social distancing regulations for our safety, we have not been able to really work these muscles and techniques. With the new stand, we will be able to do so and do it safely! Our team has been craving practice and things returning to normal. Unfortunately, there is a long road ahead, but with this new stand, some hope and joy has been reinstated to our team! Thank you so much for helping to bring joy back to our team!”

  • Bringing Our Roar to the Floor

    Funded Feb 17, 2020

Thank you so much for your donation to our team. While we weren't able to compete this season due to the impact of COVID-19 the donation you made will help us buy supplies that will make our team stronger so that we are prepared when competitions are back and allowed. Your generosity means so much especially in this challenging time. While we can't train as we regularly would, the tools we hope to buy will allow us to continue to build our strength and give us an outlet to escape the chaos occurring around us. Thank you for all your support!”

  • Basketballing in Blue and White!

    Funded Dec 12, 2019

Thank you so much for our new basketball uniforms! The boys were so excited to hear that they could finally retire their very old uniforms and get new ones! Our old uniforms have been quite worn down and had missing parts which lead to them having to share or scramble to find closely matching parts. With these new uniforms, they will finally be able to physically show their team unity. Also, we can better represent our school as they are in our school colors! Without your help, none of this would have been possible! THANK YOU so much!”

  • Capturing Real News!

    Funded Jun 18, 2019

Thank you so much for the camera and supplies! We have been documenting everything that has been happening at our school from all the athletics events (i.e. our volleyball team advancing to finals and our cheerleaders performing at the Macy's Day Parade) around our school to school elections to all the other exciting events occurring (i.e. teacher profiles; school play; etc.). The photos we have taken for the paper helps all students and their families keep up with all the news! This is especially helpful as many of our families are non-English speakers.

The scanner has also been so useful as it allows us to better edit pictures and documents that we are sharing with the school community. The editing features make the pictures and documents more clear and even help us provide evidence for the news that we are reporting! THANK YOU!”

  • Learning Beyond the School Walls

    Funded Dec 14, 2017

Thank you for the Chromebook donation. Thanks to you, students in my classes will benefit from this technology. Your commitment to helping teachers provide a quality education is greatly appreciated! My students, many of whom don't own a computer at home, have been ecstatic and so enthusiastic to use these new machines.

Your willingness to help me not only expand the knowledge of my students but also help educate them on utilizing valuable resources and computer skills makes all the difference in their lives. This year, students will be doing several research projects in English and History. I will use the computers to teach them how to do primary and secondary research. In addition, they will use it to create outlines on google docs, presentations on google slides, and create a formal paper.

Your generosity is priceless and we thank you ever so much!”

  • Breaking Boundaries with Chromebooks

    Funded Jan 19, 2017

Thank you so much for your recent generous gift of chromebooks. My students, many of whom don't own a computer at home, have been ecstatic and so enthusiastic to use these new machines. In addition, your willingness to help me not only expand the knowledge of my students but also help educate them on utilizing valuable resources and computer skills makes all the difference in the lives of my students.

On another note, my students with learning differences, especially those that get computer accommodations, love the compactability of the chromebooks as they carry them from class to class. They also love the extra features such as the camera that allows them to take pictures of the diagrams that I lecture on. Recently, they discovered programs that allow them to video record their science experiments and share them with family and friends!

From the few examples provided, it is clear your gift has made such a meaningful impact on the leaders of tomorrow. By providing my students with these resources, they are one step to their dreams and making a better tomorrow for all.”

    With gratitude,

    Teacher Seifert

This classroom project was brought to life by Google.org and one other donor.
My students need technology to help them break the wall of classroom learning! Having more technology in our classroom will allow my students to grow academically. These Chromebooks will give my students the opportunity to do online research, access first hand research, utilize core subject teaching tutorials and programs, and create presentations to exhibit to the community. With these Chromebooks, I will also be able to train them in being literate in basic computer skills. With the growth of technology in general, students need to be literate in basic computer functions such as creating documents in various programs such as Microsoft and Google, saving documents, using email, etc. My project will also help close gaps not only in the general education classroom but also provide students with disabilities access to equal education. These Chromebooks will improve the way students with disabilities learn in class. With these Chromebooks, my students with physical disabilities will be able to better take notes by typing and dictation. Additionally, my other students with various other disabilities (i.e. dyslexia, ADHD, etc.), will be able to benefit from computer programs designed to help them be more successful (i.e. make reading more manageable through reading programs, annotating software, dictation software, etc.).
