Wobble chairs offer an alternative to the traditional classroom desk and chair. Students get a choice with flexible seating. They can collaborate and communicate while controlling fidgeting, nervous energy, and anxiety with movement. Students can "Wobble while they work." The rocking motion can be calming and help them pay attention. It can also help to strengthen muscles through constant activity such as side to side and back and forth movement. Flexible seating can improve focus and allow students to choose how they learn best. I want my students to feel physically and emotionally comfortable in our classroom. I want them to be engaged and learn in a way that works for them. The choice of learning space and the ability to move will give them a sense of ownership.
