Our third through eighth graders are taking a virtual trip to a Spanish speaking country of their choice. Students will be utilizing the Spanish learned in class to create authentic group conversations and scenarios all in Spanish. Can you imagine how much more authentic their experience would be if they had Chromebooks to access photos of their country and see authentic text in the target Spanish dialect?
In addition, students will utilize valuable reference websites like www.wordreference.com and www.studyspanish.com to help them create their performance based project and enhance their dialogues. This project is about sending our kids to a Spanish speaking country to practice Spanish that they would use if they were really traveling abroad. This is real life experience at its best!
