Thank you so very much for your generous contributions. Your kindness towards my students is much appreciated. We really do rely on the kindness of people like you to secure all the materials we need in order to provide a robust educational experience. I'm excited to start a new school year!”

  • Making The Case for Color!

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my project, "Making the Case for Color!" Thanks to your kindness, my class now has a color printer that is used every day! My ability to print materials in color has allowed me to create visual aids that draw the attention of students and pique their interest. Students have been very excited to print their own works of art. Differentiating work for all of my students has become much easier now that it can be color-coded! Some of my students with learning disabilities have had improved educational outcomes due to more accessible materials. This printer has enhanced the educational experiences for all of my students! Thank you again!”

  • Stories Through Art

    Funded Feb 1, 2022

I cannot thank you enough for your support. Thanks to your generosity, I was able to provide my students with the materials they needed to paint their very own works of art.

As soon as we received the supplies, we started working with them immediately! We all loved reading and listening to the books we received, and found inspiration in the beautiful illustrations. Our "painting time" became a time we looked forward to each week. It became a special time when my more boisterous students settled down and became more relaxed, and my quieter students found new ways to express themselves. None of this would have been possible without your support. I hope you know how very much your generosity and kindness is appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. F

  • Spark a Love of Science!

    Funded Mar 3, 2021

I want to thank you for your generous donations to my class. These donations allowed me to subscribe to "Generation Genius", a series of videos that make learning science even more fun!

These videos pair with the state standards that all grade 2 students must learn by the end of grade 2. They have provided additional activities, quizzes, and reading materials to supplement the hands-on science curriculum that I teach in my classroom.

The videos are fun and engaging. My students get excited when they find out we are going to watch one of them! Since many of my students have not been physically in school since Kindergarten, we have a lot of catching up to do. These videos provide an additional level of support in a fun way!”

  • Virtual Windows to the World

    Funded Jul 12, 2020

As this crazy school year comes to a close, I wanted to be sure to take the time to thank you for your extremely generous donation. Due to the nature of remote and then hybrid learning, I was unable to put the VR goggles to use this school year. Many of my students chose to remain remote. The students who did return to school are required to follow strict masking and distancing rules. As a result, we were never able to put the goggles to use. However, I am very optimistic that next year we will be different and we will have the opportunity to use them. I am very excited to give my new students the virtual experiences I had hoped to have this school year. Thank you again for your generosity! It is greatly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

  • Motivational Math Materials!

    Funded Oct 2, 2020

It is now almost a full year that my students have been learning remotely. Teaching this way has been challenging, and learning has been equally difficult for my second graders! Your generosity, however, has made it easier for all of us to have a successful school year.

In a typical school year, students have daily access to classroom materials that help them learn. Math manipulatives are extremely important in helping young minds grasp abstract concepts. Your generous donation has allowed my students to have their own sets of these manipulatives at home.

When students and their families picked these materials up, happiness, joy, and gratitude were evident. They were excited to get them home and begin using them! We use them on a daily basis (every day!) in our lessons. These materials have been invaluable and I can't imagine how we would have gotten through this crazy year without them!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. F

  • Old School Methods for a New School Environment

    Funded Sep 3, 2020

Children all over the world have been impacted by the Covid Pandemic. My students live in a community that has been hit especially hard. They have been learning remotely from home all year, with no major changes in sight.

Technology is am amazing thing, and without it teaching and learning this year would have been impossible. However, my second graders still need the opportunity to use actual, physical materials to learn. They are so much more engaged and successful when they can use pencils, crayons, notebooks, whiteboards, etc.. Your donation allowed me to provide these essential materials to my students.

When families picked these materials up, they were beyond grateful. Parents were provided with many things that they might otherwise not have been able to afford. Their children were also excited to receive school supplies that gave them a small feeling of normalcy in a very unusual school year.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. F

  • Letting Our Voices Be Heard

    Funded Sep 16, 2020

This has been an exceptionally challenging school year. While some school districts have been able to return to school in some capacity (whether in-person or hybrid), mine has not. Due to increasingly high numbers of Covid cases, my school has been fully remote for the entire school year. This has made teaching and learning more challenging than ever.

Through your extremely generous donations, I was able to provide headphones to all of my students. This has proven to be one of the most helpful and effective items that my students use.

Using these headphones everyday has allowed my students to tune out distractions in their home environments and hear lessons more clearly. I am better able to communicate with them when they are using the microphones that are part of each set. This has allowed me to provide more effective lessons, assess student progress, and get to know my students on a more personal level. I can't imagine how much more difficult this year would have been without them!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. F

Using these virtual reality headsets in my classroom will allow my students to travel to places both far and near that they may never get to experience in person. Providing them with these opportunities will open up an exciting world for them to explore. I want my students to then take what they learn and create projects that will inspire others. These projects will help develop critical thinking skills, responsibility, cooperation, and confidence. Students will be motivated to learn even more about a particular place or topic, and look for even more information from other sources. It may even result in students wanting to someday visit these places in person!
