Build Those Muscles More!
Funded Dec 12, 2019Thank you so much for providing us funding for another semester! We are so excited to run this program again! Our athletes have become stronger and more informed about their physical and mental health due to this program. They have learned how to make work out routines that can has helped them build muscle and tone for their performance on and off the field.
In addition to helping our current athletes, we have welcomed new athletes to the program. Students who have not traditionally been interested in sports have found a new love for fitness in this program. As a result, we have since expanded our athletics program to reach even more students than initially anticipated. Thank you so much! Happy Holidays!”

Funded Sep 30, 2019Thank you so much for sponsoring our memberships to the New York Sports Club! We are so excited to embark on this new endeavor! Our athletes are so excited to get stronger and learn how to be pro-active about their training. In addition, we are so excited to offer students who typically don't play team sports an opportunity to get fit.
In our first month, we have learned how to properly lift weights and make plans that will help us develop our strength. As we continue this regiment we are able to increase greater masses over time. Within a month, we are already seeing results! In addition, we have been learning stretches that help extend our muscles and flexibility! Everyday we get better and better! Thank you for giving us this opportunity!”

Funded Nov 28, 2018Thank you so much for the chromebooks! We are so excited to use them on all of our projects in both math and science! We are learning how to do graphing in our classes and now we will be able to also put our graphs on the computer and learn a new graphing system!
In science, we will be using them next semester to collect data and make presentations! We are going to be studying acids and bases and working on our long term science investigations. We will be able to use the chromebooks to do research like real scientists and create presentations for our Family Science Night program where other students, teachers, and community members come see and learn about our work!
Without your donation, none of this would have been possible! THANK YOU SO MUCH and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!”

Funded Dec 14, 2018Thank you so much for the brain snacks to keep us going after school hours! It helps us recharge our brain so that we are able to continue studying and learning new things past school hours! This Executive Function Program has helped us improve our grades and be more prepared for success! We learn how to organize everything from our lockers and backpacks to papers and assignments for classes.
When students saw the snacks for the first time, they were so excited and more willing to get work done after being recharged from the brain fuel! This continues to happen ever since we've gotten the snacks. Without your help, our students wouldn't have had this extra boost in drive! Their success is yours too!”

Growing a Business (Literally)!
Funded Sep 9, 2018Thank you so much for the plant supplies! My students were ecstatic when they came! Our succulent plants have become our official class pets! Many of our students have never seen succulents since we do not live in a typical succulent environment. As for the other supplies, my students have started studying ecology and what plants need to germinate! They are eager to get the rest of the various plants we ordered growing.
In addition to the biology lesson students are gaining, they have started thinking about businesses and how we will use the plants to start our own business. They have taken the initial steps to come up with a business plan and create posters promoting the event. In the long run, they will put the money towards class field trips and helping classmates who struggle to afford these trips.
With these materials, my students are learning so many lessons that will help them both in school and beyond! Thank you for helping teach them so many valuable lessons!”

Funded Jan 25, 2018Thank you so much for the donation of snacks! Our students love the extra fuel they get and are especially grateful for the boost when they are staying past school hours to continue their studies. Many of our students were not able to afford snacks and do not get home till very late. Until the donation came through, many were sacrificing eating in order to be in our after school program so that they could take advantage of the learning opportunities offered by our school. With your help, these students are able to learn in a nurturing and healthy environment! Thank you!”

Funded Jan 19, 2017Thank you for the chromebook donation. Thanks to you, students in my classes will benefit from this technology. Your commitment to helping teachers provide a quality education is greatly appreciated! Because of these chromebooks, my students can use math and science programs to enhance their learning both in the subject that I teach and computer skills in general.
Many of my students used the chromebooks to make presentations not only for my science class but others as well. They were also able to create graphs for math class and learn how to statistically analyze them. For science, I have been able to not only teach them on how to do research using reliable sources but also give them access to first had science research.
On another note, y students with learning differences, especially those that get computer accommodations, love the compactability of the chromebooks as they carry them from class to class. They also love the extra features such as the camera that allow them to take pictures of the diagrams that I lecture on. Recently, they discovered programs that allow them to video record their science experiments and share them with family and friends!
Your generosity is priceless and we thank you ever so much!”
