• Workout Mats!

  The Running Club would like to thank you so much for the generous donation that was used to purchase the large workout mats.

  As you can tell by the pictures they are already in place supporting the treadmills in the running room. The running room has allowed us to incorporate strength training for the runners in providing a well-rounded strength-training sessions to target major muscles in a short amount of time.

  Our Mission is to build a strong foundation of their athletic ability to be carried over to improve their sports performance.

  Overall, we are truly grateful for the partnership DonorsChoose has established with Dicks Sporting Goods Foundation in supporting equity in team sport by giving a generous donation along in matching this project in giving more young athletes the opportunity to play.

• Financial Literacy!

  First of all, thank you for donating to this project. The kids were so excited about this one. When the package arrived, the children couldn't get it open fast enough. Our class carpet has letters on it. So when the stuffed letters arrived, the students immediately started matching the letters they received to the letters on the carpet. They then attempted to spell their name. Some attempted to spell some CVC words. It was so exciting to see them get that excited about something. Just look at the photos!

  Our next project will focus on more Literacy Center manipulatives.”

• Fun Hands on Activites!

  First of all, thank you so much for being a part of this project. As always, my students are so excited when we receive boxes from DonorsChoose. They know it is something exciting for them to learn with and that makes them excited.

  On this project we received storage boxes, spiral notebooks, ABC Upper/Lower Practicing Boards, Rocks, & ABC magnet Letters. Students were issued spiral notebooks for their Science/SS interactive notebooks which has been a wonderful teaching tool. We were able to study the rock and categorize them. Then paint them and send home as a mother's Day gift. The ABC material was placed in our Literacy Centers which are used on a daily bases.

  Our next project will focus on our Literacy Stations.”

• Literacy in Kinder!

  First of all, thank you for being a part of this project. My focus was the Alphabet. The ideas was to get my Kindergarten students familiar with the ABC's in different capacities.

  My students were so excited when the boxes arrived. The children took turns opening the boxes. This is especially enjoyable for them. Next exciting part is to unwrap and figure out what each box contained. Finally, they ripped those boxes apart so that they could begin playing with the material. We immediately included these activities into our daily centers. They are abe to match letters with words through various types of shaped ABC; s. They also get to play ABC Bingo.

  Our next project will be to continue to grow our Literacy Centers.”

• Math Interactive Games!

  First of all, thank you so much for donating to this project. The students were so excited to receive the materials. Opening boxes is like Christmas for not only the kids, but for their teacher.

  The math games are being used during math rotations/center time. They also get used during free time. The Gamenote Math Cues and Activity Cards are helping my students with numbers and various ways of showing that number. The Pop for addition and subtraction is a fun way to do their math facts. I feel that they enjoy the Splash 120 Mat Floor Game as a class activity with the most pleasure as we are laughing and learning at the same time.

  We are continue to look for new ideas to help out in small group and centers. I will be working on a new project that will be focus on ELAR.”

• Engaging Carpet!

• Using Our Senses to Learn!

  This is absolutely awesome!!! Thank you for funding this project. My kindergarten class love their stuffed alphabet letters and now they can match with upper case letters. • Headphones With Microphones!

  Thank you so much for these headphones. Our chromebooks were just issued to my students and my kindergarten kids were lacking headphones to begin their online learning.   Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. These seat sacks will help us stay healthy and organized as we have return to in person learning. • Positive Behavior Rewards!

  First of all, thank you for your donation to this project.

  We are using this project to reward students for various things in the classroom. Examples would be attendance, behavior, mile stone, good work, and/or helping another student or teacher.

  I also purchased a few prizes with the cards as gifts to work toward with points. The kids are loving this too.

  Students were so excited to open the package and see all those "credit cards". They wanted them right then.

  We have one project in progress called "hands on activities". It is being matched dollar for dollar right now. We are hoping it will get a match soon before funds run out. The students just love opening the boxes and posing for photos.
