My students come from low income families. They do not have everything they need to succeed. As a teacher, I try to do whatever I can to get them ready for kindergarten. I want my students to exceed in life and I want to give them the chance to do different things.
A lot of my students have a disadvantage over other students. They do not come home to cooked meals, family time, or even learning time. A lot of that time is spent playing or watching TV. Then, when it comes down to learning, it becomes harder from them because most of them do not have parents that help them at home. I work with my babies as much as I can.
