Stem to the Future
Funded Nov 30, 2022I appreciate your support of our classroom by buying cutting-edge STEM kits. The STEM items purchased are now an expected part of the curriculum in my classroom. These materials have opened up new experiences and opportunities for my scholars in the math and science areas.
The day I revealed that we had received the Creative STEM kits from generous donors, my scholars were overjoyed and thrilled. The STEM manipulatives offer a fun, engaging, hands-on learning environment. Both their numerical sense and artistic creativity have already improved. This school year, in particular, came with some changes and new challenges, but we appreciate your generosity by providing essential school supplies that were needed.
These tools were used to inspire scholars to learn and explore new mathematical concepts. Your thoughtful gifts towards our essential school supplies have made it easier to motivate, and inspire scholars while keeping the fire to learn burning. Funded Dec 29, 2021Thank you for your generosity to our class for single-handedly funding our digital station. Words cannot even begin to express the look on my scholars' faces when I showed them what ONE donor-funded. These digital tools help them have fun, engaging, interactive, and hands-on learning.
Your beautiful donation came right on TIME. When our scholars returned from the winter break they were back to remote instruction and were very concerned about whether we would be in our classroom again. Due to a high spike in our COVID numbers, our district had a reset and kept everyone home for two weeks. Your gift made it possible to make learning fun again!
My scholars look forward to rotating to the digital station to work on reading, math, art, and coding skills; they are interacting and learning on a whole new level. I'm extremely grateful for your generosity towards our classroom in helping them have a brighter year.”

Funded Dec 31, 2020Thank you for your generosity towards my scholars with helping to purchase a virtual classroom library. You have truly inspired my scholars with a love and passion for reading. The ability to share and show my scholars a physical book; pointing out the front and back cover, spine, author and illustrator's names helped with a sense of normalcy. I am truly grateful and thankful to you for giving me the tools to influence their young minds to love reading.
My scholars have been out of school for over a year and with most libraries in the area still closed and no home library this was a rare treat in an unprecedented situation. They are so excited when I grab a book off the shelf with all the suspense I help to draw up with choosing a book filled with humor, adventure, or plain old facts, changing my voice with specific characters, asking thought provoking questions, and reading with enthusiasm and expression. Funded May 21, 2020Thank you for your financial support to Mrs. Nathan and her scholars, in purchasing the interactive whiteboard pen during remote learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic. While teaching from home had it's own challenges, this interactive pen helped me to create a sense of normalcy for my scholars. With this pen, I was able to bring my whiteboard into my scholars' homes while learning remotely. I had the opportunity to dissect math problems, mark up text for reading and writing, and pinpoint vital content on my PowerPoint slides.
My goal was to finish the rest of this school year strong and to prepare for the next and with your support I was able to accomplish that goal. Funded Oct 17, 2019Thank you for your financial support to Mrs. Nathan and her students in purchasing Osmo Genius and Creative STEM kits. These kits have introduced my students to a whole new world of computer science and coding. Thank you for your generosity to my third grade class. Technology benefits us all at home and at the workplace. Although the types of technology may differ they are all useful to get the job done.
The Osmo STEM kits purchased are now a regular part of our digital learning. Submitting my request on Donors Choose for Osmo STEM kits has allowed my students to have new experiences and opportunities in the computer science realm.
The day I announced that we received the Osmo Genius and Creative STEM kits from generous donors, my students were overjoyed and excited to this new form of technology. My autistic and attention deficit disorders students really appreciate being able to explore digital technology in a whole new way. Osmo is both a hands-on and digital experience that make learning fun. I have already seen progress with sight word recognition, number sense and creativity with art masterpieces. Not to mention, my scholar are thinking more critically with the Newton's challenge and tangrams. Thank you again for our STEM kits. These kits will provided my scholars with endless possibilities to immerse themselves in computer programming skills for the future.”

"Can You Hear Me Now?"
Funded Dec 24, 2018Hello this is from Mrs. Nathan and her students, Thank you for your financial support to our class in purchasing these new over-the-ear headphones. The audio quality of these headphones are super clear and now my scholars are able to complete their digital assignments independently without distractions or distracting others. Thank you for your generosity to my third grade math class. Technology benefits us all at home and at the workplace. Although the types of technology may differ they are all useful to get the job done. You do not see most people at home using wired headphones while engaged in technology, but in my class a good pair of headphones means everything.
The headsets I purchase in the beginning of the school year were temporarily beneficial for my students and facilitated their learning with digital media. I teach 60 students on a daily basis and with the eight headphones I purchased it lasted only two months. I was not able to purchase high-tech headphones due to the cost, but I was grateful for the ones I had. Submitting my request on Donors Choose for new headphones that were high quality and kid-proof allowed me to have better headphones that will last throughout this school year and the years to come.
The day I announced that we received new headphones from generous donors, my students were overjoyed to have new headphones that were stylish and that worked. My students with attention deficit issues really appreciate being able to focus on digital technology and are not easily distracted by other students. Thank you again for our new headphones.”
