  • Earth Day and Beyond!

    Funded May 24, 2024

Students are having a blast learning about renewable energy sources. The solar rovers were a huge hit at the end of the project! It was wonderful to see the engagement and exploration in the project. It inspired students to want to learn more. We are not starting in our plants unit and completing the plant projects. Students started planting seeds in cotton balls and soil to compare and contrast them as they grow. Thank you for helping me to inspire a love of learning and all things green in my students.”

  • Flexible Seating

    Funded Jan 12, 2021

The flexible seating is wonderful! It was such a beneficial tool to help students focus on learning in a way that is comfortable for them.

Students were so excited to receive the materials. The different options made something available for everyone. So all students in the classroom had an opportunity to some sort of flexible seating, if they wanted. During a different year it really helped students feel more comfortable. Parents were also very happy with the resources. I will continue to offer my students flexible seating options for years to come.”

  • Save the Paper With Dry Erase Boards!

    Funded Sep 24, 2020

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your incredible support of my classroom. Students now each have their own individual dry erase board to use with markers and magnetic letters! We use the dry erase boards during our math and language arts block. The lined side of the board is perfect for practicing writing our letters and numbers. Also included in this project is a lined magnetic board I can demonstrate with! I am so excited to use these boards everyday this year and with future classes.”

  • Flexible Seating

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

My students are loving our flexible seating options. Each student has access to a different option! They love being able to kick their seat bands or wiggle at their desks. I have two special floor seats that are in the front of the room and students are rotated weekly to sit at them. I put the exercise balls in the front of the room at the listening center so students can rotate to them as well. The options are helping my students to be able to stay in their seats longer while still being able to focus on their work. I am loving the results of the seats and am looking forward to more projects like this in the future. Thank you again for supporting my classroom.”

  • Inspiring Readers

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you so much for donating towards this project! My students are loving getting to explore books that they cannot yet read on their own. They enjoy listening to the cd and following along with the words on each page! I hear their reactions to the sloth book about the rain forest and it is so heartwarming. They are so surprised by the animals on each page. They always want to show me something they loved from the pages of the books. I am so grateful for you supporting my mission in getting additional books in the hands of my students. This desk with the listening center on it is now every students favorite place to be!”

  • Our Favorite Books!

    Funded Mar 13, 2020

I am so very grateful for the donations to my classroom. We are only on week two of school this year and I can tell I am inspiring readers! They love the characters in Elephant and Piggie, Biscuit, and Dear Dragon. They are so excited to be able to soon read these book on their own! This excitement is just what I needed to keep them motivated to learn their letters and sounds. They truly look forward to reading when they fall in love with the characters in the story! This donation included many more fun books and were going to explore them all.

Thank you again for supporting the kindergarten students in my class.”

  • Sharing Our Differences

    Funded Aug 8, 2017

I am so grateful for your generous donations. I cannot wait to receive the resources you have provided to us! These items will provide excitement, joy, and most importantly learning opportunities to the 21 little scholars in my class this year and continue to do so year after year. Thank you for the bottom of my heart for helping me provide something to them I couldn't do on my own.”

    With gratitude,

This classroom project was brought to life by An Anonymous Funder and one other donor.
I would love to share my student’s different cultures, people, and experiences. I would like to show them examples of loving others despite, and because, of their differences. I want to explain to them that we should seek to help others, even if they are different from us. I am asking for help to purchase books and an iPad. The books I am planning to purchase would help me with teaching tolerance. The books I have included, such as Frida and The Colors of Us, would expose my students to new ideas, cultures, and people. I am also asking for one iPad and a protective case. Being able to have this kind of technology in my classroom would create an opportunity for access to educational websites and apps. This will allow my students to learn tolerance in a completely new way. My students will have the opportunity to learn and research factors that make up tolerance and contribute to their own perceptions and judgments of other students. I truly believe teaching tolerance at a young age will lead to a better tomorrow and utilizing technology via an iPad will help us get there.
