  • Parents Are VIP's

    Funded Nov 28, 2018

Our parents are always looking to join their children during school for fun, educational activities. We believe that through the support of a parent, our students have a better chance at success. It is also a wonderful way for the parents to see what their child is learning in school.

This project enabled parents to come to the school after dismissal and participate in a reading, writing and craft activity with their child. The smiles and enthusiasm were seen and felt by all. Every participant was also able to leave with some new books to read together at home.

We are very grateful for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stuart

  • Let's Grow Lunch!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thanks to your generosity my students were able to learn about the parts of a plant, the life cycle of a plant and grow herbs and vegetables that they were able to take home, share with their families and continue their growth.

We had such fun measuring soil, comparing our seeds and then planting them. We learned what plants need to grow, taking care of them and watching how big they got. We were even able to see the roots and compare the different leaves and colors because we all planted different seeds.

Thank you again for this wonderful opportunity. We are truly grateful.”

    Funded Nov 6, 2020

My students have been having so much fun with the Lego kits and learning so much. They were so excited to see the brand new kits and learn how to connect the motors and bluetooth to code them and have functioning robotics. We have been following sample models to get a hang of how to build and code them. Soon we will move on to expanding the sample projects and creating our own designs and code. Other classes have been hearing all about these kits and projects and can't wait to try them out as well.

  • Apart But Near Our Heart

    Funded Aug 13, 2020

During the times of Covid, this amazing donation was able to provide students with needed materials, school supplies and fun activities that were able to enjoy while they were at home.

Some students were able to attend school but it was a scary environment with lots of time where they had to quarantine and schools were shut down unexpectedly. It was wonderful to see the children's faces light up either in person or through zoom and google meet when they received such wonderful surprises.

Thank you so much for making this time a little easier on some of our youngest learners.”

My students are always eager to learn. Many are students who speak anywhere from no English to a good understanding of the English and usually speak another language primarily. The neighborhood is economically and culturally diverse but some families are at a financial and social disadvantage. My students do not have many opportunities outside the classroom and love learning through hands on projects during science. I know coding is the future for our children and I would love to give them the advantage.
