My students enjoy learning math each day but many of them constantly tell me how they would LOVE to work in small groups more often. Having this kidney table in our classroom would provide students with an area, other than the carpet, to work together to achieve their rigorous objectives. At this kidney table, student will have a clear view of myself and their classmates. They will also be much more comfortable sitting at a table rather than working on the carpet. Over time, many of my students lost their markers and since I do not have enough markers for everyone, we have been unable to use our personal white boards during math. If they each have a white board marker, they can use their white boards again. Using white boards during math is beneficial for students because they can erase mistakes easily and they can also use their boards as scratch paper without actually wasting tons of paper. Last, the dry erase board easel would be a HUGE help for our small group time. Right now, I have been using personal white boards and holding them up when I work with small groups. This makes small group instruction difficult because many students can't see what I wrote down or I can't circulate the group while I'm holding the board. With this easel, we will have a designated small-group area, that has all the necessary materials to facilitate a lesson with a small number of students. Students will be able to see what I write on the board and I will be able to more closely monitor what they're working
