This project will give each of my nonverbal students access to an iPad mini with a protective case in order to access the necessary technology to enhance their communication. We will be able to more fluidly adjust each student's communication boards to meet his or her base line needs, as well as to accommodate curriculum vocabulary, and family and personal interests. With these iPads we can have access to voice output communication apps, as well as class wide behavior management apps like Class Dojo, and more. These iPads will help to make my students voices heard and provide them with the tools in order to successfully access, not only the classroom, but the world around them! We will be able to share more authentic and intentional communication and build a stronger team within our classroom community.
