Future of STEM
Funded Nov 9, 2023The students in my classroom are so excited to start the stem projects after winter break. Many of my students do not get the chance to experience STEM and I cannot wait to see them build and work together as a team. STEM projects allow students to think outside the box and have fun completing projects that give them a break from everyday assignments and learn to work with each other. STEM is the future of the world and my students need to have a chance for a great future in middle school specialty schools and college.”

Spiral Away For Fourth Grade
Funded Oct 14, 2023The students were excited when the spiral notebooks arrived. The spiral notebooks will be used to help the students keep notes for each of the five subjects taught in fourth grade. The notebooks help the students have things organized in one notebook and they can find things quickly. Also, the spiral notebooks allow students to have interactive notes including foldables so that they have something to look at when studying. The spiral notebooks will help students with models showing how to solve math problems.”

Funded Apr 10, 2023They could not wait to use the colorful chairs while they completed assignments and reading. The chairs have added color to the classroom library. The students cannot wait to read a story or work on lexia our reading program. We have seen a rise in stamina for reading because of the flexible seating instead of being at their desks. There has been less behavior problems in the classroom because the students want to earn their time using our comfortable cozy flexible seating. Thanks to donors who gave the classroom this wonderful gift.”

Snacks All Around
Funded Feb 8, 2023We are very grateful for your generosity in providing our class with delicious snacks. We are so lucky that now we can have an afternoon snack after recess which is 3 hours before we go home. As you know, my students come from low and single-parent homes, and what they receive from eating at school might be the only full meals they receive all day. I try to have snacks available, but as you know, that can get costly. This makes their day, and they can concentrate and complete all assignments for the rest of the day.”

Funded Mar 6, 2023My students love the snacks and enjoy having a nice healthy snack at the end of the day after a long day of work. I know some of the yummy snacks ran out of stock but we were happy with the cheezits. Many of my students go without food so and this snack means so much. We are so grateful for your donations and time spent giving to our class. Teachers try to bring snacks for us but it gets expensive coming out of their own pockets. Hopefully all students are able to recieve something for thier class”

Flexible Is The Name Of The Game
Funded Sep 20, 2022My students absolutely love the bean bags and pillows. We use them around the room during small group and stations. They always ask to use them and not have to stay at their desks. They like the comfort of them and since we do not have carpet on the floors in our classroom they can now set around the room. I hope to purchase more so everyone has something to use. The bean bags have made a great difference and now the students enjoy doing stations because they are not having to set at a desk all day long.”

Funded Oct 11, 2017My students really love all of the items we receive for the class. They use the hundreds chart to help with addition, subtraction, rounding to the nearer ten. Using the hundreds chart plus manipulative's that were donated have helped their math grades grow from Dust B's. They have gained more confidence in reading and spelling because of the games that were ordered. The mini whiteboard has helped in the small group during instruction. The new nameplates we placed on their desk before Christmas break and they were all smiling because now their desks are shinning and new. We review daily homophones, prefixes, suffixes using the games that were sent and this helps them because they are having fun and learning at the same time. The math manipulative's help with basic addition, subtraction and spatial awareness and they love creating new projects. The pencils we necessity because as you know I purchase most items for the class and this helps the students have freshly sharpened pencils every day. We thank everyone for their donations from the bottom of our hearts. Thanks for a great school year”
