Chair Pockets for Organization
Funded Oct 31, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations for chair pockets! My kids were so excited to see how neat and tidy the classroom and their work space looked when they walked into the classroom. They quickly proceeded to create personalized name tags to slip into the clear pocket.
These chair pockets have really helped the students maintain organization of their materials. Because they are more organized, more work is being completed and turned in. We rarely have papers and folders lost in the dark abyss that a desk can sometimes become. Keeping track of supplies and assignments is detrimental to success, so I am beyond grateful for your donations to this project!”

Classroom Printer
Funded Dec 12, 2024Thank you so much for your generosity! With this printer, I will be able to provide my students with colorful maps, graphs, diagrams and other images to engage them and enhance the learning process. I can't wait to use the photo paper to print and hang pictures around the room of my students engaged in learning. I am so appreciative of your support- thank you!!”

Hocus Pocus Help Us Focus!
Funded Feb 15, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations toward this project! My students love having the bright blue privacy shields to help them focus.
I work with students who struggle academically and they have reached an age where they do not want to be seen by their peers as different. They are more than happy to use these beautiful new privacy shields AND in turn are using their accommodations. Yay!!! I firmly believe that having some privacy has impacted these students in a very positive way- we are seeing some good growth!”

Healthy Emotions
Funded Aug 5, 2022Thank you so much for donating to this project! When I first explained the box to my students, they were reluctant to use it. After a few class meetings and daily check-ins (dropping a note in the box to let me know how they were doing), they began dropping notes in on a daily basis. We have been able to privately resolve many misunderstandings between friends. I have also had several students drop notes that have helped me to understand home situations and a few notes have led to seeking support from our counselor.
My students love the brightly colored inspirational posters. The posters have moved us into discussions about who these people are, what struggles they may have had, and how they have worked to be successful. Learning about successful people who have had struggles similar to their own is so powerful. These kids can see what the future might hold for them if they work hard.
As a teacher, my number one goal is to move kids forward academically. However, that isn't possible if they are struggling emotionally. Your understanding of this and generous donations are much appreciated!”

Funded Jun 27, 2022Your generous donations to provide my students with safe, filtered drinking water are so appreciated! At the start of the year, we did not have an operating water fountain near the classroom. Most of my students don't bring a water bottle, and I really didn't want to encourage use of disposable plastic bottles. When my students saw the drink station set up with the Brita and cups, they were so excited. A few have even stopped bringing those plastic disposable bottles!
Although our school district has lifted restrictions and reopened the water fountains, cold and flu season is already taking its toll. Being able to offer my students a cup of water instead of using the water fountain is just one step in preventing further spread of Covid, Flu, and other viruses.
The Brita drink station will be a very beneficial addition to my classroom for years to come!”

Color My Fifth Grade World
Funded Aug 4, 2021Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom. My students were overjoyed when I broke out the watercolors to complete an art project that we in turn used as inspiration for our writings. A lot of my students enjoy art, but had never used watercolors prior to this. Coming up shortly, we will be using both the oil pastels and watercolors to create directed drawings that will also be used as inspiration for our writings. I cannot wait to see the looks on my students faces when I break out the oil pastels! Although most of my students struggle academically, they are extremely creative and love the opportunity to show off their talents. Thank you again for supporting my classroom, it means so much to me and my students!”

Stand Up! It's Time to Learn!
Funded Aug 5, 2021Thank you so much for supporting this project! When we returned to in-person learning at the beginning of the year, my students were all so intrigued by these large, tall desks. They all wanted a chance to try them out.
For the first few weeks of school, I observed the students as they worked. It didn't take long to figure out who might benefit from standing to work. I offered the stand up desks to a few students and they are loving the option! They are no longer distracting their neighbors with all of the squirming and wiggling they had been doing.
I love being able to offer my students different seating options that will help them to be successful in school. Thank you so much for your generous donation and for supporting my students' success!”

Stand Up It's Time to Learn - Part 2
Funded Jun 1, 2021Thank you so much for being a donor for this project! I have several flexible seating options in my classroom, and I couldn't wait to add the stools. Without the stools, my stand-up desks would not be a success.
I have a handful of students who work much better when standing at their desk. A traditional desk and standard-sized chair just causes problems for them. Having the stools to use with the stand-up desks has allowed those students to stand and work, but then sit and work when they feel the need.
My students and I are most appreciative of your generosity and support of their success.”

Funded Feb 13, 2021Thank you so much for supporting my students by contributing to this very special project. The past year and a half has been difficult for these kids both academically and emotionally. My students love being able to sit on a cozy beanbag chair to read or to just decompress when they are having a tough day. Using the speaker, I am able to play music throughout the day to set the tone, and the colorful string lights add some cheer to a dark corner of the classroom. The light covers make the room feel cozier and soften the bright fluorescent lights.
Students learn best when they feel safe and comfortable. Thank you so much for helping me to provide a safe, warm, and comfortable environment for my kids. Your generosity is very much appreciated!”

Funded Jan 7, 2021Wow- What a generous donation! I am so grateful to my donor's for the gift of fresh air. Having the Dyson air purifier in my classroom has given my parents a little more peace of mind as they sent their kids back into the physical building for learning. For the students who have returned to the classroom, knowing that we can turn on the Dyson and "clean" the air has made them more comfortable as well. The fact that it also heats or cools the air is a bonus.
For many years (before Covid), we struggled with mold. Much clean up and repair was done in the building while the buildings were closed to staff and students, but I still worry about it. Having the Dyson in my room has given me peace of mind that my students are working in a safe environment and, so far, no asthma attacks or other health issues!
Thank you so much for your generosity!”
