Learning Our ABC's During Rug Time!

I am thrilled that my first Donors Choose project was funded by your amazing generosity! I cannot wait to see my new students faces when they see their beautiful new rug. My classroom lessons will also go more smoothly with designated spots for each student and the ability to sit them in rows. My last rug was oval shaped which was not conducive for row sitting. 😁

This new Alphabet rug will be a colorful and motivating addition to our Dual Language (English) classroom. Our previous rug was oval and is no longer nice to sit on for classroom lessons. The new Alphabet rug I have chosen is bright, engaging, and will help my students learn the letters in the English alphabet! Because it is rectangular with squares for each letter, my students will also learn about rows, columns, squares, and rectangles. The individual letter sections also helps the students sit in a designated spot. My students love practicing the letters they have learned each day, by finding the letter around the classroom and also on an alphabet rug!
