With a document camera, students will be able to see how to properly annotate a complex text and improve their comprehension. They will be able to see clearly how I mark up the text, highlighting key words and phrases, instead of me just saying what to do aloud. With so many of our students being visual learners, it's important they get to see these annotations properly modeled. I can also use the document camera to diagram sentences, show student work, and provide writing examples. Students will be able to see how I take my notes and will learn valuable organizational skills.
