I am a STEM teacher at an elementary school in Woodhaven, Queens. STEM gives students the knowledge and skills to solve problems, gather and evaluate information, and make sense of the information they gather. STEM lessons focus on real-world issues and problems and are guided by the engineering design process. STEM lessons are designed to immerse students in hands-on inquiry and open-ended exploration. Students work in productive teams to solve a challenge.
