Small Group Space!
Funded Dec 11, 2022Thank you so much for helping me gather the funds for my classroom kidney table so soon!
Although I was not able to order the table (there were some packaging issues and I ended up getting only the legs for the table TWICE), I was able to use the funds for other items that we needed in the classroom.
For example, I got some bins that have helped us keep station work and journals neatly organized and easily accessible to students. We also got some sturdy plastic bags with zippers, which are great for storing student activity items. We even got to use them today to kick off our very interactive STAAR review, and they made distributing materials to students so easy!
The new pencil sharpener we got is awesome! We were having so much trouble with our old one, so this new one has made our classroom life SO much easier. Crisp and sharp pencil tips 100% of the time! I was also able to order several boxes of black EXPO markers, both thin and thick, which we use daily. The kids have been so happy knowing that when a marker dries out, they can just walk over to the new-marker bin and get another one. Just like that!
And, finally, the laminator and laminating pouches I got have allowed me to create mental math cards that I've been wanting to implement in the classroom for a while now. The kids love them, and it's a great way to fill in extra time with meaningful activities that will help them grow even more.
So, although we didn't get the table, we are very grateful that your contributions have helped us get MANY items that have improved our math block tremendously. All these items contribute to the smooth flow (like "butta"!) of our classroom activities and procedures, which, in turn, has helped me get the most out of the time I have with my kids.”

Much-Needed Classroom Organization!
Funded Sep 20, 2022Thank you so much for helping my students get a place to store and charge their computers! We're so glad we don't have to struggle with cables all over the place anymore.
Before my students leave for the day, they simply pick a spot and leave their computer charging. So much better than before, when they would have to look around the room for a charging cable on the floor or somewhere on the counter and leave their computers all over the room.
We are very grateful that this project was funded SO fast!”

Funded Apr 7, 2022Thank you for helping to fund this project!
This was a project I created last school year for my students, and I never ran out of markers the rest of the year!
When their marker started running out, it was nice to know I could just pull out another and hand it to them. It made guided math time so much more enjoyable. They hated when their marker would start writing unevenly from the wearing down of the tip, and it really made a big difference not to have to deal with that.
I remember my students being very excited about receiving them!”

Funded Sep 22, 2021Thank you so much for helping to provide the needed materials for my students!
Students have benefitted so much from our new whiteboards and dry-erase markers. They have so much space to show their work now, and if their markers dry out, I can just hand them a new one!
They have also greatly enjoyed the materials that we now use for our daily stations, like always being able to see how much longer they have (on the giant timer) and being able to go and grab activities from the organized task card bins.
And I think their favorite thing has been getting stickers as rewards for different things.
My students and I have greatly enjoyed using these materials, and we thank you again for your help in acquiring them!”

Funded Jan 12, 2021Thank you for contributing to the purchase of dry-erase markers for my students!
My students use dry-erase markers everyday in math, and it feels so nice to be able to give them a new marker every time their marker dries out now. It used to be such a huge problem to have to struggle to find some in the classroom or telling them to use paper and pencil when we ran out completely.
Whiteboards and markers keeps them so engaged, and they love that it's easy to erase mistakes and fix them when needed.
Thank you so much!”

iPad [Imagine a Catchy Title]
Funded Aug 3, 2020This technology has enabled me to model math problems for my student way better than using a whiteboard and a marker. Both my virtual students and in-person students have been able to benefit from it.
My students love how clear the writing is and how I can even pull up a screen shot of a journal page and model exactly how our notes should be written in the math journal. They especially like the fact that I no longer cover up the stuff I'm writing, since that's what used to happen when I would project a whiteboard and marker.
I use this technology EVERY SINGLE DAY, and I thank you for helping me improve my students' learning experience.”

Funded Feb 28, 2019We cannot thank you enough for helping us purchase the resources needed to make our Kindle technology carts! Our students were so excited when they saw the completed product. When they began plugging in their Kindles in the cart, they immediately noticed the difference between said cart and the file folders we had to use up until then.
No more ripped folders! No more huddling next to each other trying to find their charging cable! No more struggling with carrying those bulky boxes from one classroom to another twice a day! Our technicians now enjoy rolling our little cart from one room to the next.
Again, thank you so much for helping us get these carts into our classrooms!”

Funded Jan 15, 2019Thank you so much for helping fun this project! My students were thrilled when they saw the new whiteboards for our small group area. They aren't used to having so much space for working out problems. They keep saying they love how new and shiny they are. And they are also thankful for the brand-new erasers that came with them. We didn't have erasers in our small group area before.
Our station storage is great! The bins have been labeled and students have started getting their own station work now. They love that they now have the ability to easily grab their station and get started without having to wait on me to set it up.
Thank you so much!”

Funded Dec 8, 2018My students and I are so excited about our Expo dry-erase markers. When a marker runs out now, we simply grab a new one out of our storage closet. No need to make sure every last drop has been drained from the old markers.
When we first got them, they couldn't believe it. I know it seems odd to be so happy about getting new markers, but my kids know the struggle of writing with a bad marker all too well.
Now, we can concentrate more on getting our math right than on struggling to get our drying-out markers to work.
Thanks again for your contributions. My students will benefit from this for the rest of the school year!”

Funded Oct 8, 2018Thank you so much for helping my students get these brand-new whiteboards, markers, and erasers! They were all so excited when they saw them for the first time. I switched out the old ones with the new ones without telling them, so when they pulled them out of their desk for their bellringer, they all began exclaiming with joy!
And when I told them to look in their desk once again, their excitement grew even more after discovering their whiteboard erasers. They couldn't believe it was one per student. "No more Kleenex," they said. It was great to see them excited about these math materials.
Now, the kids don't complain about their marker not coming off their old whiteboards or about having to wipe off their whiteboard with a Kleenex or their sweater sleeve. We have used these materials constantly in our classroom. We use them first thing in the morning to show our answers to our bellringer and for facts practice, and we use them during stations, both when they are in guided math with me and when they are working their centers in groups. They LOVE them. Thank you so much for your generosity!”
