Mobile ESports Station
Funded Dec 3, 2024I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your incredible support of our classroom project, "Mobile Gaming Stations." Thanks to your kindness and generosity, our students now have access to cutting-edge educational technology that will revolutionize their learning experience.
Your donations have made it possible for us to create mobile gaming stations that will engage our students in exciting, interactive ways. These stations will not only make learning more enjoyable but will also help develop crucial 21st-century skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and digital literacy.
The impact of your generosity cannot be overstated. Already, I've seen a noticeable increase in student enthusiasm and participation. Your support has opened up a world of possibilities for our young learners, allowing them to explore educational content in ways that were previously unavailable to them.

Funded Mar 25, 2022The robotics cart has had a profound impact on my students' learning. With the enhanced collaborative space, students are more engaged and actively participating in project-based activities. They have developed essential teamwork skills as they work together on robotics projects, which has fostered a sense of community in the classroom.
Because of the materials provided, I was able to implement more hands-on learning experiences where students can apply theoretical concepts in a practical setting. This has not only increased their understanding of robotics and engineering principles but also sparked their interest in STEM fields. The central storage of tools and projects has streamlined our workflow, allowing us to spend more time on actual learning and experimentation rather than setup and organization. Overall, the resources have enriched the educational experience and empowered my students to explore their creativity and problem-solving skills.”

Funded Dec 2, 2020Thank you so very much for the selfless donations you provided by helping purchase technology for my students to use during virtual learning. While the COVID-19 situation has improved, we are still not back to normal. In Newark, we just returned to in-person instruction in mid-April. Originally, I wanted to use the smartboard in my classroom and have the students share their work from their seats. This would ensure that my students could still demonstrate their understanding of the content without the risk of being exposed. As a district we are back in the classroom but not at all students have returned at this time. Many of my students still are learning remotely, but the students in the classroom are enjoying the ability to use the smartboard and stand during our lessons.
This smartboard allows me to make the lessons I'm presenting interactive. Students in the classroom can access the notes or the presentation from their Chromebook. They can even edit the document from their own seats. This board and stand combination have increased the interaction in my class even while students must be socially distant. Since the students can work remotely from their desk it also cuts down on having to disinfect the board. My students are now able to safely share their work and demonstrate their knowledge.
I have big plans for the future of this technology. My students will be creating and presenting projects using the smartboard. They will analyze primary and secondary sources and help improve their writing as a class by pre-writing and drafting an essay. Students will also peer edit each other's writing as a whole group activity. This will help my class look at and correct common mistakes as well as help improve grammar and writing skills. In my history class, the ability to use the screen with dual windows and access the web will allow me to share with my credible resources with my students. The board also allows me to mark documents and save the notes to later share with my students. The rotating stand allows for different types of projects to be completed by the students, unlike other flat smartboards students can only use the screen horizontally. My students will enjoy the different tools and features that this new board offers.
