My 7th and 8th grade students enjoy learning about how to stop the spread of infectious diseases as they assume the role of biomedical engineers. Students will use the Engineering Design Process to design an antiviral to stop a newly discovered virus from infecting model cells. By applying this knowledge students will have a better understanding of how cells formed and its job function. The students will acquire the appropriate knowledge of how germs are spread on a daily basis as well how a healthy immune system responds when it becomes infected with a virus. My middle school science appreciates your help.
