  • Engaging Reading Topics!

    Funded Jan 24, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to this project. My students for next year will greatly appreciate this reading resource. I use Story works on grade level and I hate that my ENL or SWD's that are reading below level can't have the same experience. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for donating to our class and future students. The children love that Story Works has such a diverse amount of literature to read and learn about engaging topics that are current all while covering the standards.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. De Palma

  • Flexible Seating Improves Reading!

    Funded Aug 24, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom. The students love reading on the flexible seats. We have enough for many to sit and work independently and when reading in book clubs. These seats are a great addition to our classroom. The are readily available to the students to grab when they feel the need a change in their own environment. Giving the students flexibility and choice is always very beneficial to them.

They find the seats very comfortable and like the fact that they can recline to meet their comfortability level when reading or meeting together.”

  • Visual Learners

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you so much for donating the materials for our students. They love the fact that all materials are in one place for each subject and are able to just get up and grab them as they need. All materials in these binders are printed in color for them and used as tools to help them in reading, writing, and math. All of the other materials that were donated the students use to make flash cards of words or facts to improve on fluency for multiplication / division.

Our students are always collaborating to work together on various projects to make our classroom bright and the usage of many visuals for our SWD or ENL population.”

  • Reading is POWER!

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you for supporting our classroom and donating the books of interest to our classroom. These Historical Fiction books are used to support our Historical Fiction writing and reading unit we have in 4th grade. The kids love that they have more of a selection to choose from for this unit with engaging books.

The students are always looking to borrow these books not just for the upcoming unit, but because they are interested in them. Many of my higher level students really want to learn more about History through reading these historical fiction texts.

    Thank you”

  • StoryWorks for Our Diverse Class!

    Funded Aug 7, 2022

We are so grateful that we are able to use the Story Works magazine. The articles, stories and everything in between are enjoyable and rigorous. The on level and lower level sheets that go with the stories I am able to reach half of my class. The kids love the feel of reading a magazine. They feel grown up because the magazine is filled with engaging stories and topics.

We love that you can also use the debate portion of the magazine for our opinion persuasive writing unit that we do in our classroom.

All the reading we introduce on a Monday and the children do close reading with each story they love using the online capabilities as well.

    Thank you”

  • Every Day Is a Good Day for BOOKS!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you so much for the new books across many levels for our classroom! My students were so excited by the amount of new books that were added to our library! The children love getting new things in the classroom. The new books will help the students identify character traits, change, theme and will be used for so many things throughout the year. They will be able to practice these skills with books of high level interest. When the children are reading they sit for 20-30 minutes and read while tracking their thinking. They also have to write a reading response based on the skill that was taught to them that day. All the children enjoy reading the new books, they talk about them to their friends in the class and even make suggestions why they should or shouldn't read the book!

Thank you again for your generosity!!”

  • EVERY DAY is a GREAT day to READ!

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

Thank you so much for donating towards my project. My students were so happy to get new books for our classroom library!! They don't always have the funds to purchase new books, so giving them this opportunity to read high interest books on the various levels really put a big smile on their faces! They love reading and also sharing what they read. They are even making suggestions to their friends on which books they read and why it was a good book to read.

Thank you for making a difference in my students life!”

Thank you so much! I am eager to use these items with my new students next year while teaching math! We will be starting the year off right with hands on math and a new program. The students now were so happy to use some of the manipulatives that we received that could benefit them this year!! The children loved seeing all the manipulatives that were donated to our room and are excited to use them. We love the fact that they have visuals for these important areas of math. • Storage Needed!!

    Funded Nov 15, 2018

Thank you so much for contributing to my project! Our classroom has no storage and this really helped keep supplies and important papers for the class. The children love the addition to the room and like the bright colored blue cabinet. It is beneficial that we have this storage cabinet in our room. Our room is actually two classrooms that became one. So, there for we had absolutely no storage for everyday things that the children need or use. So, this cabinet really has helped with storing things like tissues, paper towels, paints, I pads, pencils, paper and other things that are needed on a daily basis. If we did not receive this I or my co teacher would have to continuously climb to the top of the closet. it is great that the students have access to it for daily things and we are very grateful.”

  • Creativity and Critical Thinking Through Art

    Funded Oct 19, 2018

Thank you so much for contributing to my project! Our classroom has Very limited sources of post it's, glue, paper, markers, colored pencils to express them selves. We have many writing units which the students need

To create covers and all these materials will make it possible for them to really express themselves. We are really grateful for your donation to our classroom. When we received the boxes the children couldn't believe how many supplies we received. It was like Christmas morning one students said. They love when we are able to incorporate art into the curriculum and with all of these supplies we try to do it more often then usual. As far as, the Post It's these were great to receive so the children can write down their reactions to books they are reading and us as the teachers we can write comments on their work. They are very useful in a classroom. Thank you very much for your donation.”

The color printer will help with my visual learners. I will use these materials to enhance my students learning with visuals and handouts in color for them. With many of my students beginner ENL and students with disabilities the color handouts and visuals will be great for their learning. Sometimes being an ENL student when you actually see the picture in color or handouts it makes learning easier to understand. It will meet the needs of my students in my classroom. Some of my students come right off the plane and enter in my classroom for the first time at the age of 10.
