New Year, New Supplies!
Funded Aug 4, 2022Thank you so much for helping fund our project! The students use their seat sacks and pencil cases everyday. They keep all their materials in the seat sacks such as their Fundations boards, math books, prep folders and pencil cases. The seat sacks help my students stay organized and teaches them how to be independent. They are able to get started on their work straight away since they already have their supplies! We are definitely able to save a lot of time and get more learning done thanks to your help!
When the students first walked into our classroom they were so excited to see their name on their seat sack and have their own pencil cases. The materials give the students a sense of belonging to the classroom!
I really appreciate your help in funding my project!”

Funded Apr 23, 2022Thank you so much for helping me fund my project! When the boxes arrived in my classroom the students were so excited. They helped to open the boxes with me on the carpet and their faces filled up with smiles. They could not wait to try them out!
Everyday students do centers and guided reading. One of the centers is doing puzzles on the carpet and that is their favorite! The puzzles are a great way for students to work together and share. They are also great because they teach them how to problem solve!
I cannot thank you enough for supporting my classroom!”

Funded Jan 15, 2022Thank you so much for funding our project. We love the diffuser and the essential oils. In the morning, we use the peppermint oil to wake the students up. Students love coming into the room and smelling a fresh aroma. They start the morning feeling awake and ready to learn. In the afternoon, we put the lavender oil in the diffuser to calm the kids down after lunch. The oils are also working to keep the germs away!
When the diffuser arrived, the kids were curious with what it was! They soon became amazed with what the diffuser could do. They like to watch the diffuser change colors and the steam rising.
In our classroom we are teaching the Mood Meter through RULER. The mood meter has students talk about their feelings. Yellow represents the feelings of happiness, green represents calm, blue is for sad and red is for mad. The diffuser helps shift students from the blue and red quadrant to the green!
I cannot thank you enough for your generosity. The diffuser and oils has helped me to create a clam, relaxing classroom environment that promotes learning.”

Funded Apr 13, 2021Thank you so much for helping me fund my project. With your generosity, I am able to use the supplies to keep my room clean and safe for everyone.
In Pre-K we do a lot of hands on activities such as painting and crafts which makes a big mess, so the wipes and Lysol Spray are great for cleaning the tables. The kids wash their hands all throughout the day so the soap has been very handy. The spray is especially useful for cleaning the kids centers.
My students were so excited when they saw the boxes come in! They are now able to fully learn and feel safe in the classroom. I cannot express how thankful I am for your help! Thanks again!

Funded May 28, 2020My students were so happy to receive their graduation gifts! I drove my car across from the school and waited for my students at a park. They arrived wearing their masks and we made sure to keep a distance...it was hard not to give them a hug! Some of my students arrived dressed up in their graduation dresses and looked beautiful! It made my students day getting to see their teachers and receiving gifts to help support their remote learning.
With your generosity, the students each got a white board, dry erase marker and eraser, a new notebook, pencils and a pack of crayons. I also included a graduation certificate with their picture on it which was laminated. During our Google Meets, I used the white boards to have students practice writing sight words and Fundation digraph words- which was a fun game to them! Having these boards made our Google Meets more interactive so they were not just staring at me on the screen but actually doing something hands on. They also used their new notebooks, pencils and crayons for their daily writing assignments. My students will be able to use these supplies next year with their new teachers.
I am excited to go back to school in September although I know that things will look a lot differently! Thanks again for your support in my classroom I greatly appreciate it and so do my students!”

Funded Aug 22, 2018Thank you so much for helping me fund my project. My students are thrilled with the new books and letter magnets that they received. These books are so useful for guided reading in small groups. These books are great for teaching them about non-fiction topics and non fiction text features. My students love learning about animals! I even put the books in a center box and have the students do a picture walk and try to read them independently. Having these books in my classroom really gets my students motivated, engaged and curious!
The letter magnets make learning letters and letter sounds fun. During guided reading I have the students find certain letters. They also use them to make their name. As the year progresses I will have students use the magnets to make sight words. Having hands-on manipulative's is so important in Kindergarten.
Kindergarten is the year that students learn their letters and start to read. I am so grateful for the generous support that allowed me to get these materials to help my students succeed. I can't wait to watch my students grow as readers!”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you so much for donating to my project! My students (and I) were so excited when the books arrived! Before this project got funded I was wondering how I was going to continue my shared reading practice after I ran out of books to read. These books could not have came at a better time! I have more than enough books to keep me going till the end of the school year.
Each week we read a new big book. Every day we focus on a different reading strategy. On Mondays we look at the pictures. On Tuesday, we use the sight words. On Wednesday, we use the pattern. On Thursday, we match the first letter sound to the picture and on Friday I ask the students comprehension questions to see how well they understand the book. The books that I ordered also expose students to a lot of rhyming words and word patterns.
Shared reading is interactive and exposes students to reading and feeling successful. After reading the book together for a week, students can read the whole book fluently without many mistakes. Students then take the reading strategies they learn and use them when reading independently. Shared reading with big books is so engaging for students and I have seen so much progress through reading these books. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.”

Funded Feb 1, 2018Thank you so much for donating to my project! My students were so happy to receive their own white board erasers and guided reading books. They were so excited when they got erasers to use instead of a tissue in their hand! The books came in perfect timing for my highest guided reading group. They were thrilled to read new, challenging books. These books also serve as motivation for all my other students to become better readers.
When I first told my students they were getting new whiteboards erasers, they looked at me with big eyes and cheered! They got extremely excited when I passed them out in class and held them with joy. We use whiteboards and the erasers in so many different ways in the classroom. The students use them almost everyday during Fundations. It is a great way for students to practice writing letters and spelling words. I also put some of the erasers in my centers. The erasers are the first thing that students grab when they open up the box! The erasers really make such a difference in my classroom everyday.
The new guided reading set has been put to use. The new books offer exciting teaching moments such as digraphs and silent E words. My guided reading group gets so happy when they see me opening up the packages of books each time we do guided reading. The set is perfect because there are enough books for each student to have their own. During guided reading we warm up with some word work and then we read the book together. As each student reads I listen and take notes as how to best support them. The best part about guided reading is seeing the students improve and become better readers every day. These books are such a great asset to my classroom.
Thank you so much again for your generosity!”
