One area that my students struggle with is literacy. Often times we as teachers are expected to cover specific literature and this may not spark the interest of all students. However, that does not mean that they do not have the potential to grow in this area. Each day in our class, we allow our students to explore through reading so that they can have a little escape each day. We hope that by doing this, they will not only become better readers, but understand the world around them, become more informed, and continue this habit at home. These books will help our classroom library to grow as well as our students' engagement in reading!
