Erosion Explosion
Funded Jul 29, 2011Thank you all for your generosity. My curriculum, Earth Science, deals with forces of nature and how it affects environments. We can now use the stream tables to see a model of how those forces reshape the landscape. Students will have exposure to how Earth is constantly changing by water, wind and drought. Having the tables allows them to set up situations that can take several years to happen in real life. Now they can model it in one class time to understand. My favorite example is showing how glaciers change the land of an area.”

Funded Oct 7, 2010I am very grateful to all of you for your donations. I thought the amount of funds would take much longer to reach. You obviously see the importance of quality equipment in the science classroom. These microscopes will allow the students to get a better education by doing hands on science. I have received a lot of positive feedback from my students. For some of them, this is their first experience using microscopes. They were amazed at the (until now) hidden world that has been around them all this time. One of my students often swims in his grandpa's pond at the farm. He thinks it is cool knowing what kind of life is swimming all around him. Some of the girls were not so excited to hear that information. Thank you to all for making this purchase possible for me and my students.”

Funded Feb 18, 2010Thank you for donating to our need. We are a small school and are in need of sponsors. The safety goggles you helped purchased have enhanced the lessons in class. We are able to go more in depth with the curriculum. My students like wearing them and get excited when I tell them to "go get your goggles". We are able to share the new goggles between all three grade levels. Your donation has impacted the entire school. Safety is a high priority in our district. You will see the happy faces on some of the students as they are doing interesting labs using different types of water in some pictures and dissection in others.
