I am requesting 16 headphones for the students in my classroom to use in the computers during centers time. The 5 headphones that we have in the classroom have no paddings. This makes it very difficult for the students to finish their lessons successfully because they can't keep the headphones on for more than 20 minutes without hurting their ears. I want the students to be able to complete a lesson on iready on a daily basis. They will have the opportunity to hear letters, sounds of letters, words, rhymes, syllables, reading sentences, etc. on these lessons. Practicing these iready lessons on a daily basis will help my students become ready for reading. My students need to have many opportunities to practice their skills on phonemic awareness. By practicing these skills continuously, they will make great gains in their reading skills.
