Since returning to in person leaning, I am trying to engage my students with as much active and creative opportunities as possible. The parachutes will help students keep the beat to the music and engage in socially distanced dances. The movement activity mats and dots will allow students to engage in safe, non-locomotor movement; this not only helps students to be socially distanced, but helps them to move in fun new ways to the music. Allowing students to create their own music give students a sense of ownership. Music is active and requires a community to make music. Now that we are in person, students will be able to make music together daily. My classroom is a place where students can be imaginative. These tools will help students to discover their own creative talents and will allow them to work together to make beautiful music!
