Building Math Success: Essential Supplies for Engaged Learning!
Funded Mar 29, 2025This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 2 other donors.STEM in Action: Tools for Collaboration Problem Solving
Funded Sep 16, 2024The impact of these resources on students' learning and engagement is profound. By incorporating easel pads, markers, pencils, and patty paper into the classroom, students will have access to dynamic, interactive tools that cater to diverse learning styles.
Easel Pads: These will foster collaboration as students work in groups, visually mapping out problems, brainstorming solutions, and presenting their ideas. This approach not only develops critical thinking and teamwork but also builds confidence in communicating complex concepts.
Markers and Pencils: The inclusion of colorful, hands-on tools will make abstract math concepts more accessible. Visual and tactile activities will enhance comprehension and keep students actively engaged, bridging the gap between theory and application.
Patty Paper: This unique tool allows students to explore geometry in a hands-on, engaging way, making transformations, symmetry, and spatial reasoning tangible. It's a creative method for visualizing and internalizing mathematical principles.
Together, these tools create an enriched learning environment where students actively participate, collaborate, and visualize, leading to deeper understanding and retention of STEM concepts.”

Funded May 31, 2024The donated pencils, graphing notebooks, and pencil sharpeners have become integral to our daily activities. One specific project where these materials were essential was our recent geometry unit. The students used the graphing notebooks to plot and analyze geometric shapes, working on understanding concepts like symmetry, area, and perimeter. The quality of their work improved significantly with the proper tools at hand, and they were able to focus more on the learning process rather than worrying about whether they had the right supplies.
The students were thrilled when they saw the new materials. There was a buzz of excitement in the classroom, with students eager to use the new pencils and notebooks. Some even mentioned that the graphing notebooks made math feel more organized and approachable.
We'll be moving into a project where students will design their own mini-cities on graph paper, calculating distances, areas, and optimizing layouts. This project will not only reinforce their understanding of geometry but also introduce basic concepts of urban planning and critical thinking. The resources you've provided will continue to be a cornerstone of their success in these endeavors.”

Funded Sep 11, 2023The implementation of graphing notebooks has proven to be a game-changer in our classroom, fostering a dynamic and engaging environment for our students. One particular project that highlights the effectiveness of these notebooks involved a hands-on exploration of mathematical concepts through real-world applications.
For this project, students were tasked with collecting and analyzing data related to a topic of their choice, ranging from environmental trends to economic indicators. The graphing notebooks provided a structured and visually intuitive platform for students to organize their data, create various types of graphs, and draw meaningful conclusions.
The reaction from students upon first encountering these materials was overwhelmingly positive. The vibrant colors, user-friendly interfaces, and interactive features of the graphing notebooks captured their attention and sparked a newfound excitement for learning. Students appreciated the opportunity to move beyond traditional pen-and-paper exercises, embracing technology as a tool to enhance their understanding of complex concepts.”

Funded Aug 10, 2023I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your incredibly generous donation of graphing notebooks, colored pencils, and whiteboard markers to my classroom. Your thoughtful contribution has made a significant impact on my students' learning experience, and I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and support.
The moment my students laid eyes on these new materials, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. The graphing notebooks have become invaluable tools in our classroom, allowing my students to practice graphing equations, plotting functions, and visualizing mathematical concepts. The colored pencils have added a vibrant dimension to their learning, enabling them to highlight key points on graphs and create visually appealing representations of mathematical ideas. Additionally, the whiteboard markers have facilitated interactive and collaborative learning experiences, fostering a dynamic environment where students can engage with the material in new and creative ways.
Your generosity has not only provided essential supplies but has also inspired a sense of enthusiasm and eagerness to learn among my students. With these resources, I have been able to design interactive lessons, collaborative activities, and engaging projects that have enhanced their understanding of algebra and mathematics as a whole. The impact of your donation goes beyond the classroom; it empowers my students to explore the world of mathematics with confidence and creativity.
I am continually amazed by the difference your contribution has made in my students' education. Your support has enabled me to create a positive and stimulating learning environment where students are motivated to excel and explore the depths of their potential. I am truly grateful for your belief in the power of education and your commitment to making a difference in the lives of young learners.
Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity. Your kindness has touched the lives of my students, and I am confident that the skills they develop with these materials will stay with them for a lifetime. Funded Mar 16, 2021My students have loved their notebooks. Thank you so much. They can write notes and use it for graphing. They use it everyday for everything. They use the back part as a resource as well. They were so grateful when they saw the notebooks. They felt like mathematicians. This resource helps them to become math experts. They use it to take notes, scratch work and project work. They refer to it whenever they have questions. It is small and handy. They use this more than their workbooks. It is easy to take home. They have it as a resource when they are at home.”

Graph Your Way Through Math
Funded Sep 5, 2018My Algebra students are able to graph linear equations, solve systems, etc. All their work is in the notebook so they can look back at it. My students were so happy and excited to see the notebooks. They couldn't wait to use them. When they found out someone donated them, they were so appreciative. We are going to use them for a project with quadratic equations during the second semester. It is called the angry bird project. The notebook makes is easier to organize their information and graph their quadratic.
Thank you again.”

Funded Dec 22, 2011Thank you so much for your donation. These tablets are great. We are experimenting with these throughout each of the classrooms. Some have been able to go into the web and play math games. Some have searched for math topics. Others have used them as a tool during their exams. Now I can have students who are struggling go to math websites to get extra problems, tutoring and lessons. Also the students who are scoring well are using them as an enrichment to move further in math. Technology is helping us and we all appreciate it very much.”

Funded Dec 8, 2011Thank you so much for your donation. The graphing paper and pencils have been a great help. First, the pencils are used everyday. The students do not have to worry about buying their own pencils because there is always some in the classroom. Now, the graphing paper has been amazing. We have been able to work on concepts in more depth. They have mastered slope, plotting points and graphing linear equations. We have even been able to create a fun math project with it. The students have loved it. Another thing they don't have to worry about getting and just concentrate on learning math. You have impacted their math minds in a great way. Thank you again,”
