Your donation of two additional iPads has made a great difference in our classrooms. We have been able to share the iPads amongst a group of 20+ students, some who have made significant growth in math and ELA. We have several students that moved three reading levels and are approaching grade level in math. Being able to take turns taking iPad home has provided the extra practice they needed to gain this growth. My students and I can't thank you enough for your donation. A donation that has not helped them but will help many more students this school year.”

As this pandemic school year comes to an end, my students and I can't thank you enough for the materials they received because of your generous donations. The dry-erase boards, markers, erasers and storage pouches made sharing their work easier. They were able to use them for all subjects to share work with me and each other. They also used it to complete certain assignments. They were super excited to have a personal set of materials like the ones we were so used to when we were in the classroom.
Again, thank you so much for your donations.”

I needed a device that would allow me to help the parents who were home tryIng to learn how to use all the different platforms required for remote learning. This iPad has done just that!! Had we been in the classroom, pictures showing how the kids use it would've Been easier to obtain. The pictures I shared are of the work my students were able to submit because I was able to guide their parents navigate through google classroom Using a similar device to the one they have at home. It also gave me another tool to create engaging activities for my kids.
Teaching a new remote kindergarten class this fall has been a challenge. The biggest hurdle has been helping parents remotely with technology and this iPad has been a life saver. Again, my students and I thank you!”

English language learners have a harder time processing spoken language. So instructions, even basic directions for classroom procedures, should be written on the board whenever possible.
Challenging concepts should be diagrammed or supported with pictures. A color printer would bring these concepts to life for my students in the form of charts, pictures and other visual materials for their academic success.
And modeling the steps of a process or showing students what a finished product should look like can go a long way toward helping students understand. Sometimes showing our students what to do is all they need in order to do it. Not only will this kind of nonlinguistic representation improve comprehension for ELL students, it will help all of my students grasp concepts better.
