  • Get Second Grade Reading!

    Thank you so much for your generosity. My students and I have thoroughly enjoyed using these materials to support our phonics instruction. After each lesson, they instantly use the building words materials to show off their new skills. The phonics decodables have been a great help in giving the students the push they need to read.

    My students have also loved their Scholastic Magazine subscription. Each month, they can't wait to get their new packs of magazines to learn about current events. The scholastic magazine is such a help in supporting their comprehension in fun, new ways.”

  • Fostering Our Love for Reading

    Class 203 wanted to thank you all for the wonderful donation to our classroom.

    My students have enjoyed the books as much as I have. They love getting into their independent reading centers because there is a book of interest for each child. The students have enjoyed exploring the different characters and settings.

    Our headphones are being put to good use! We're using them to learn English, work on phonics, and listen to some of our favorite readalouds during center time. Class 203 loves telling the other classes about their super cool, personal headphones!”

    We are so grateful for your generous gift! My kids are truly enjoying reading TFK and learning about the news stories within them. We are also practicing our informational reading skills like main idea, key details and referring to the text in order to answer a question.

    We are not only utilizing these magazines for reading but also for our word work period! We are learning to fluently read sentences and have gained such a tremendous amount of vocabulary in just a few magazines!

We have used some online examples to work from. My students have written persuasive speeches on trying to get them into our room. This resource will be a huge help in supporting their learning.
