Classroom Library Expansion
Funded Apr 9, 2025Thank you all so much for contributing to our project! I am thrilled every time a student finds a book that they love, and now I will have so many more to offer them. I can't wait to share all of these wonderful new titles with my students, and I look forward to hearing what they learn. It is so generous of you to think of us during these times of financial uncertainty--thank you for your support.”

Funded Jun 21, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom. These supplies are game-changing. The sound that came through our projector was terrible. It wasn't loud enough, and some noises made the projector rattle, making the audio difficult to follow. The Bose speaker is amazing. The sounds quality is excellent and we have much better control of the volume. Listening to educational videos is a pleasure now!
The headphones are so helpful, too. When students need to work at their own pace, they can use the headphones to help them focus, or to watch educational videos with the ability to start, stop, and rewind as needed.
These supplies are making our classroom more dynamic and flexible. We truly appreciate your support!”

Flexible Seating for Middle School
Funded May 13, 2023Thank you all so much for your contributions to my flexible seating project. In my 16 years of teaching, I've never had seating options to offer students. Everyone has always used the standard classroom chairs provided by the school. Now that I have wobble chairs and a comfy corner chair for students, these seats are in use every day. For students who use them, it helps them feel more comfortable and focused during class. Something special like flexible seating options would not be possible without your generous donations. We really appreciate you!”

Funded Jul 1, 2023Thank you so much for your contributions to our project! The soundproofing panels are up on the wall, creating a calm, quiet corner where students can sit when they need a break. Students are LOVING the fidgets we ordered. They are in use every period of the day. Students calmly walk over to the fidget storage area and take what they need back to their desks. I am so grateful to be able to offer this sensory support to students in my Social Studies class, and we couldn't have done it without your generosity. Thank you so much for thinking of us and for donating to this project.”

Funded Nov 28, 2022Thank you all so much for your generous contributions to this project. The Constitution unit in middle school often causes students to feel anxiety and dread. They've heard how difficult (and boring) it can be to learn about the Constitution and pass the state-mandated exam. These books will make our Constitution unit more engaging and fun for years to come. Students will learn about the debates that went into the writing of the Constitution, and they'll see how the decisions of the founders affect us today. This book brings the Constitution to life and I am so excited to be able to share it with students moving forward!
Due to shipping delays, our books didn't arrive before our Constitution unit, but that didn't stop students from borrowing the book to continue and deepen their learning on their own! Right now, these books are a wonderful addition to our classroom library, and in the years to come, we'll read select chapters as a class during our Constitution unit. Thank you for making this possible at our school!”

New Year, New Classroom, New Curriculum
Funded Aug 20, 2022Thank you so much for your generous contributions to this project. These wonderful books have brightened our classroom and have piqued the interest of many students already. I'm so pleased to have a variety of brand new books about topics we'll learn about this year. In the photos I featured books about indigenous people and about slavery in the United States, two topics central to our curriculum. I love that students will be able to deepen their learning and engagement by selecting books from our library to read. I hope these are among the first of many history books my students will choose to read.
We very much appreciate your contributions.”

Funded May 5, 2022Thank you all so much for your generous donations to our classroom library. The new books are wonderful. The first day they were displayed in my classroom, students began borrowing them!
These new additions diversified my library in important ways. Before this project, my library was mostly fiction. We now have so many interesting non-fiction books about historical figures, the environment, U.S. and world history, and much more. The books provide a variety of reading levels for students to choose from, too. There's something to engage nearly every student. I've been able to read a few of the books so that I can provide quality recommendations, and they are excellent!
Your contributions mean so much to us. Thanks again for your support.”

Funded Oct 3, 2019Thank you so much for your contributions to our classroom project. We were able to use all of the sound absorbing panels, and we placed them in a variety of locations around the room. The students are big fans. Not only are the pads effective at absorbing sound in our classroom, but they are also beautiful to look at and fun to touch. There are a few places where the panels are particularly effective. I was able to place several panels in a new "Calm Corner" where students can sit and practice mindfulness techniques when they are overwhelmed or struggling in class. The panels are essential in this location.
My students and I are very touched that you care about and support our classroom.”

Lessons for Young Men
Funded Mar 11, 2016Thank you so much for your donation to our advisory project. I didn't even have a chance to advertise the project before it was fully funded!
Reading A Lesson Before Dying with my advisory has been a wonderful experience for us all. My advisees have been able to show new sides of themselves during the weekly discussions. One student in particular, a highly reluctant reader, has stepped up as a leader every week during discussion, sharing his unique insights and thoughtful questions. He is fully engaged in the story, and this experience is building his reading and leadership skills. All advisees are finding ways to connect to the text, and they are reflecting on the meaning of being a man.
I hope that all of my advisees grow up to be reflective, thoughtful members of society, and that they are life-long readers. A Lesson Before Dying is putting them on the right path! Thank you!”

Funded Dec 7, 2015Thank you all so much for your support of the Noble Academy Book Club. Our book club has doubled in size since last year because of the great books you have provided for us. This fall, as word spread and students saw the book club books tucked away in my classroom, more young ladies joined. We now have a diverse group of readers meeting each and every week to discuss these texts.
At the Noble Academy, our students are among the most motivated readers with whom I have worked. When our students started high school, many didn't care for reading, but because of our book club books and generous donations to previous book projects, almost every sophomore in our school has found multiple books that they love. This is putting them on the path to be lifelong readers. Thank you for helping to make this happen.”
