• We Are Emergent Readers!

  Thank you for your generous donation to allow our class to get our new reading materials! My scholars were so excited to have our book shelf arrive in a big box! We opened it together and they watched me put the wheels on the shelf. They also helped me to put the bins on the shelves for our new books! We have used the new picture cards to practice vocabulary, rhyming, and alliteration. The picture cards are large, colorful, and have pictures that are familiar to our scholars. I am certain all of these materials will help build literacy skills in our classroom. Thank you so much!”

• New Materials for a New Year!

  Thank you for your generous donations! My scholars were so excited to get new binders for their writing journals. This was the first project my class this year got in the mail. They were so excited to see the boxes in our classroom and open them together. They were even more excited to know they were for them! I cannot wait to replace our ink in our printer so we can begin printing in color again. The scholars were very interested in learning about the ink cartridges and the photo paper. I will be printing pictures of us at school to hang around our room and send home too! Thank you again for helping our classroom!”

• We Can Read in Pre-K!

  Thank you so much for donating to our project! We are so excited for new books to have in our classroom for independent reading and small groups. As soon as our boxes arrived, my scholars wanted to see what was inside. We opened up the books and the scholars were so excited! "These are books we can "read"!" They were so excited to see small, colorful books, perfect for Pre-K! I am so excited to encourage reading and for my Pre-K scholars to see themselves as readers! I know that these books with strengthen skills in so many ways. Thank you again for your generosity!”

• Pre-K Likes to Keep Our Classroom Clean and Organized!

  Thank you so much for your generous donations. I was able to receive our materials in time for the summer. I got our classroom organized and ready for our new scholars to arrive. I was able to use the Ziploc bags to keep rest blankets and pillows together and ready for use. I was also able to hang up important items such as our emergency bag, calendar, and new white board to display our learning objectives. I have also used our cleaning wipes to clean our classroom. Thank you again for helping with our organized classroom. I know our scholars appreciate it and so do I!”

• Sensory Table Exploration!

  Thank you for our new sensory table materials. The scholars love the colorful sand. They like using the pans to sift the sand and see how it changes. The kinetic sand has been a big hit too. The scholars have been shaping it and experimenting with how it moves. We have also made predictions about the sand and what will happen to it.

  Thank you for helping us get new exciting materials. This time of year is the perfect time to try new exciting materials to play and explore with! My scholars are having so much fun learning and playing together!”

• Learning to Read With a Clifford Magazine Subscription!

  Thank you for the Clifford Magazines! My scholars love having their own colorful magazine to read and learn from. We have been looking at the magazines in small groups and practicing early reading skills.

  The scholars also have been bringing the magazines home to read to their families. The families have enjoyed connecting skills they are learning at school at home. The Clifford Magazines are so fun and engaging for everyone.

  We also loved that the magazines connect to our areas of study. We have made connections such as hibernation, life cycles, and helpers in our community. Thank you again for this unique experience. I know my scholars are learning and having fun!”

• We are Ready to Read in PreK!

  Thank you for our new set of books! We will use the books to teach early reading skills in small groups. We will practice pointing to the title, each word as we read, and using the pictures as clues.

  The books will also be available during our Pre-K silent reading time. The scholars will have appropriate level text to practice their reading skills. The scholars love new books to practice the skills we are learning on their own.

• Storytelling Fun in Pre-K!

  Thank you so much for your donations. The storytelling materials are so important for my scholars. They love retelling stories or making up their own. These materials give them a unique way to interact and practice literacy skills.

  I also love using them during my read alouds. My scholars love when I use props when reading stories. They also like helping by acting out the stories using these fun materials. Our reading center has definitely expanded and now can be used in several new ways.

• Extra! Extra! We Always Need Extras in Pre-K!

  Thank you so much for your generous donation. My scholars were so excited to get our boxes in the mail at school. Together we opened them and organized our new uniforms, boots, and mittens. The scholars were saying, "Now we have extra pants and shirts if they get dirty!" Or "Oh, I like the colorful boots, my feet won't get wet!"

  It was fun to hear their excitement! I know it really made them feel well taken care of too. Not only will my scholars this year benefit from our extras, next year's scholars will too. Thank you again for helping me take care of my scholars!”

• Watch Butterflies Grow and Learn About Life Cycles!

  Thank you so much for the generous donation. We were able to get a variety of materials to help us learn about life cycles. We have already set up our "lady bug land" and butterfly house. We can't wait for our lady bug eggs and caterpillars to get here so we can watch them change and grow.

  The scholars have been putting together the life cycle puzzles. I like that they can talk about the life cycles and put each stage in the right order. We really appreciate your donations. We thank you for the hands on materials to help us learn about "Cycles in Our World" area of study. We are having so much fun!”
