If my class were to receive these materials, they would have a world of information at their fingertips. Literally! We use STEMSCOPES for our science curriculum. It is laid out in a 5E model (engage, explore, explain, elaborate, and evaluate) which allows the students to have hands on learning. However, some students need to listen to stories, watch videos, or create projects for them to fully understand the concepts I'm teaching them. We need five Acer tablets to allow them to do all of that. With our science and social studies curriculum, there is online access that will read the stories to the low readers, will explain vocabulary words to the English Language Learners, and provide projects the GT students can work on. My students just need the technology to open these doors for them.
