  • An HP Chromebook to Learn a New Language

    Funded Dec 20, 2021

Chromebooks in the classroom are meant for studying alone and for interacting with students of other classes. The students I pull out come from different classes and it's a great way for them to look at each other's work and give feedback and also to interact with each other. This enhances the overall learning experience and gives the children a chance to focus and work hard. Student collaboration is one of the benefits of Chromebooks in the classroom. Thank you so much for your donations and we really appreciate it.”

Thank you for your donations for the Ipads. My students are truly benefitted from these devices. During this pandemic students suffered so much due to a lack of available technologies. I gave the devices to students who need them and they were able to log into google classroom, join meetings, and complete assignments. It wouldn't be possible without your help. we also use devices for educational videos and they are great resources for your children to learn various contents. Parents are also appreciative of your help. Thank you.”

  • A Printer to Retain and Display Students' Works!

    Funded Nov 30, 2020

Thank you for your donations for the printer. Students in my classroom feel a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment seeing their hard work in printed form. We can hang up their works on the bulletin boards. The pride experienced when seeing the fruits of their labor in printed form or when receiving the proverbial gold star of approval from their teacher is beyond words. Additionally, many parents mentioned that they proudly display their child's handy-work on their fridge or at the office. None of that is possible without a printer. I appreciate your support! Thank You.”

  • We Want to Build a Learner-Centered, Technology Rich Classroom!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

My students are very excited about the chromebooks they received! I use them often for center time. I have English Language Learners in my class and many of them are recent arrivals. They don't necessarily have the skill in reading, writing, listening or speaking in English. As a result they fall behind and to help them reach their highest potentials the chromebooks help tremendously. They go to the educational websites such as Starfall, ABCYA, MYON, RAZKIDS and learn the letter sound correspondence, build listening skill, get used to American English as well as learn to read. Most of them don't have internet at home and school is a very important place for them to learn the language with teacher's guidance. I also have students who have difficulty in holding pencils, they receive occupational service. I allow them to type in the chromebooks during writing! Students also do group work, research on topics using the chromebooks. Last, but not the least, chromebooks are great motivation for this tech savvy generation.”

  • Partnering With Families to Improve Language Skills!

    Funded Jan 1, 2018

Thank you for your donations. The resources I received in this project are tremendously helping my students building their language skill. I am doing centers and small group teaching with my students and these resources are very effective. Most of my English Language Learners can identify the beginning sound of a word, can decode Consonant-vowel-consonant words as they have been using the materials provided in this project. They are also practicing story structure and use the resources during centers time. They were so excited to see the materials and are using them cautiously so that they sustain. I am also planning to invite parents and show them the materials so that they can use the same materials at home to help their children.”

  • Let's Keep out Classrooms Organized!

    Funded Jun 30, 2017

we appreciate your donations. My classroom is a lot more organized now. All the materials that we use daily are kept in the bins sorted. The see through bins help the students to look for and find their materials without any difficulty. The bins are also labeled which made it even easier. Students know exactly where to look for materials needed to complete any activity. Before, they used to be in many places and it was always a hassle to find the materials as soon as they are needed. But now they're sorted and in the see through bins, made it so much easier.”
