  • Ready to Learn

    Funded Nov 3, 2024

Thank you so much for your donations to this project. These donations allow me to get materials for my students I would otherwise not be able to purchase.

This project gave us gift cards to purchase activities from Teachers Pay Teachers. These activities give my students extra practice through hands-on engaging activities where they can practice the skills they are learning in class. This is done in small groups, with a partner, or sometimes one-on-one in interventions.

This project also gave us lapdesks. This has allowed students to sit together in a group to work on reading or group activities. My students have also used them as standing desks when they prefer to stand and move around instead of sitting at their desk.

I appreciate your continued support of my classroom and giving my students these wonderful materials. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Olson

  • Fresh Start to the New Year!

    Funded May 24, 2024

Thank you so much for your donations to this project. So many of my students are not able to provide all of the supplies that they need for the school year. This project makes sure that every student has all of the supplies they need for the entire year. The look on their face when they are able to have all of the same brand new materials the other students have is priceless.

This is so important so that all of the students are starting off on a level playing field and feel successful from day one! These materials make everyone feel welcomed and ready to learn. Thank you so much for your support!”

  • Sensory Needs

    Funded Dec 19, 2023

Thank you so much for al of our generous donations to this project. We are seeing more and more students with sensory needs and the need for brain breaks. These materials made a huge difference last year for several of my students who used these materials on a daily basis. The sensory materials gave them the ability to self regulate throughout the day through small breaks while being able to maintain their learning in the classroom.

These materials also gave students who need to move and fidget appropriate materials to use throughout the day to help them focus. Thank you so much for your support of my classroom and helping me provide my students with what they need to succeed.”

  • Engaging in Learning

    Funded Nov 10, 2023

Thank you all for your donations to this project. This project supplied materials to create hands-on interactive activities that can be laminated and used over and over again. These activities allow students to practice skills we are learning in the classrooms through games, sorting activities, and interactive activities on Chromebooks.

My students love doing these activities in small groups where they can choose activities at their ability level and work with a partner or small group to practice what we have been learning. These activities give them the extra practice they need to be successful.

Thank you so much for your continued support of my classroom.”

  • Ready, Set, Go!

    Funded Aug 15, 2023

Thank you so much for your donations to this project. I have numerous students who come to school each year without the supplies they need to do their work. The funding of this project allows for me to give each of my students all of the supplies they need for the school year as well as extra supplies to replenish them as the year progresses.

With this project all of my students have the ability to start the year off on the right foot and be ready every day with the things they need to be successful. There is a sense of pride when students are able to have their own materials to work with instead of having to borrow them or not have them at all. It is great to see their excitement with all of the new supplies.

Thank you for your continued support of my classroom and helping my students succeed.”

  • Listening and Learning

    Funded Mar 1, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations to this project. This project purchased headphones with microphones on them for my students to use. In the classroom we use Chromebooks regularly to complete work and use a variety of interactive learning websites. Having headphones allows students to work on these sites doing interactive activities at their own learning level without interrupting other learners.

My students are able to listen to books being read aloud, do interactive letter and sound activities, and allows my student who struggle to read have materials read to them. They are also able to create new writing pieces by speaking to the computer to help them with writing stories. My struggling students have been so much more excited about writing now that they can use the microphones to turn their ideas into stories.

Again, thank you for your support of our classroom and my students. It is so great to see them get these opportunities to further their learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Olson

My students will be using the books for research projects and reading for enjoyment to learn new things. They are very curious, and reading nonfiction books is a fantastic way for them to learn about a wide variety topics. They need the comprehension activities to help them learn to navigate through how to use and understand informational texts. These are a variety of activities that I can use with students in small group learning as well as independent practice for them to continue their learning in centers. These books and activities will help them grow academically in an area they struggle in. Comprehension of informational texts is our greatest area of academic need and will help students become more knowledgeable about new topics and develop into stronger readers.
