In my classroom, students need opportunities to use technology to extend their learning. Using this technology can increase student engagement-even for the most diverse learners. In a first grade classroom, a tablet provides an array of teaching tools including online books, interactive games, videos, and educational websites that help support the needs of every learner. Providing tablets for my students will promote countless opportunities to develop and enhance learning! During our literacy block, students break into small group learning stations focused on specific skills and strategies. These iPads will be utilized in a station focused on developing independent readers. Students will be engaged and focused while using this technology to access various resources. This will really enhance my students' educational experience in my y classroom while also promoting a love for reading and learning.
