My students would benefit greatly from a projector, printer and classroom materials because this would help them incorporate their 21st century skills in the Spanish classroom. At this point in time, my classroom is the only foreign language classroom without technology. The projector would enable them to see and interact with these authentic experiences, landscapes and culture associated with the cultural component of our world languages curriculum. Having a printer in the classroom would be an excellent resource because we usually do not have access to printers when we are completing projects, especially a color printer. This would bring our interactive projects alive and will enable my students to see the results of their hard work immediately. I also included some classroom supplies like colored pencils, markers, and other art supplies to enhance our project possibilities. For example, Clipboards are helpful when we do surveys, write dialogues and do interactive speaking activities. The interactive calendar works well with beginning Spanish students because it sets up a daily routine of life skills as well as foreign language skills. The books that I ordered will serve as a cultural classroom resource. These materials would enhance our authentic learning experiences and bring life back into our classroom. With these materials in place, my students would be able to access materials and information in a whole different way using the projector, printer, and the materials. These items would allow us to use more time on difficult topics and on supplementary activities. In short, this would open a whole new world up to students who really need to be more well-rounded.
