My 52 students are a diverse group who hail from dedicated families that want their children to succeed, not only in our school, but far beyond. I teach 5th grade ELA, Social Studies, and Social Justice. As I enter my 25th year of teaching, I am keenly aware of my students' various needs----from virtual non-readers to accelerated, independent learners. My students are the reason I love to teach. They engage enthusiastically in classroom discussions that are enriched by our diverse experiences and backgrounds.
