Hello, my name is Doris Campana and I am a the 2nd grade Teacher at Mariano Azuela School. This year is my second year teaching 2nd grade. I am truly excited to teach! I believe young children are full of laughter and are in awe of the world around them. The most amazing moment for me as a early childhood teacher is to see my students progress from being a nervous reader or writer to a confident reader and writer. It is a wonderful and magical moment; when a child can show you they can print their name! Another magical moment for me as a teacher is when a young child is trying to spell words to write a sentence! That moment in class is priceless!
I teach on the South-Side of Chicago in a dual-language school for CPS and my grade levels are Kindergarten to 2nd grade. I believe children need a successful start in school and beyond. I am very excited to be part of the Donors Choose community.
