The teamwork and discipline that the boy’s basketball team practices will ultimately contribute to their larger goals of earning college degrees. Playing on the team helps our players increase their fitness and healthy lifestyle, focus on their academics, build their social relationships, challenge their time management, and develop their success mindsets. We are raising money to purchase team bags, socks, and practice equipment. The team backpacks will be used so every player has the necessary space to carry their school materials and athletic equipment. The socks will be worn on game days and will ensure that every team member is on the same playing field as their opponent. To make sure the players have the best traction possible, the traction mat will be used at every game for players entering the game. The kick-out basketball trainers are needed because of the size of our gym. The two side baskets have chairs and tables stored underneath them, making them inaccessible for practicing. The yellow pinnies will be used at practice when doing drills involving different teams so players aren't confused. The hurdles, disks, and weighted balls will all be used at practice to develop their skills and push each player to preform at a higher level.
