  • Math: Building Strong Foundations for Critical Thinking.

    Funded Dec 27, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to this project. My students with special needs have been using the curriculum since we got it, and they are making good progress with it. The math curriculum is differentiated for my students, and I am so grateful that they have access to materials that they can understand better. There is no one curriculum that is perfect for anyone, but this curriculum has allowed for my students the motivation to continue to want to learn math and make gains. We appreciate your generosity!”

  • Supplies Needed to Build Our Education From Home!

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you for your generous donations to fulfill this project. The supplies requested helped my students learn remotely at home. We were able to provide them with supplies they didn't have at home. With your support, we were able to continue our lessons remotely, and the supplies enabled our students to be engaged to the best of their ability during the difficult times. The families of the students were so grateful for your support, as well. You helped to make remote learning possible during that time.”

  • Make the Grade with the Right School Supplies

    Funded Dec 31, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity and support! These supplies are much needed in our classroom right now. We will be able to print in the classroom again since the school printer has been broken since October. We can finally have fresh new dry erase markers for our daily writing activities, and even have fun with some winter crafts. We cannot thank you enough for your thoughtfulness to make this happen!”

  • Technology for Global Learning!

    Funded Dec 30, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students are loving the tablets! We are now able to incorporate more technology into our lessons using various apps with the tablets! Technology is engaging and at times more effective for my students to learn and practice new skills in all subjects. The tablets are also assisting the teachers to gain better knowledge of how the students are grasping the content of the lessons, and we are adjusting this content to meet the needs of all the students. Thank you for making this possible.”

  • Magazines Can Make Reading Fun!

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you for your donations! Your kindness and generosity have given my students the opportunity to continue learning through scholastic news magazines. These magazines provide the students with a more engaging way to learn new information. What is even more amazing is that even though my students are still participating in remote learning, they have access to these magazines digitally as well! The website also provides them with engaging and interactive activities related to the topics of the articles!

Again, we appreciate your support and generosity! Thanks for helping our classroom!”

  • Help Build Student Engagement Remotely

    Funded May 9, 2020

Thank you so much for your donations to this project. This has allowed me to create more engaging virtual lessons for my students that I can share with them as we continue remote learning. It has also enabled me to be able to use more than one device while teaching my students remotely. My laptop can be used with my iPad simultaneously so that on my laptop I can see all of my students while I share my lessons on the iPad. I can alsouse the ipad as a document camera as well. This is beneficial because I can show them how to complete a worksheet or show them how to complete a math problem during a virtual lesson. It has made the adjustment to remote learning more easy for me as an educator, but it has also helped my students to adapt to remote learning as well. Thank you, again!”

  • Help Make Reading a Magical Time by Supporting Guided Reading!

    Funded Nov 16, 2018

My students and I would like to thank you for your generous donations of materials such as binders, post-its, bins, pencils, highlighting tape, index cards, etc., for our guided reading program in our class! My students love breaking up into groups and getting their group bin with all of their supplies in it. They love that the pencils are a different color (neon pink) then the regular yellow pencils that we use, and they feel so proud that they can use highlighters to highlight words in their guided reading books. They are really proud that they have these "cool things" that they have never been able to use so freely before.

All of the supplies are helping the students improve in their word recognition and reading fluency within their guided reading groups. The materials not only are helping them, they are helping me to organize my guided reading groups by making group binders where I can collect data and write notes each day about my groups, as well as a place to keep my guided reading lessons and reading passages. We look forward to continuing to use the materials now and in the future! Thank you again for your generosity!”

  • Help Make Small Group Learning a Thing!

    Funded Sep 18, 2018

My students and I are incredibly grateful for your generous donations towards our project! We are using the folding tables throughout the day for numerous group activities. These tables are being utilized daily, but we use them always during our Creative Learning times on Fridays! This is where the students experience STEM in the classroom. In the pictures we have uploaded for our project, we had conducted a STEM Cup Challenge where the students had to work in groups of 4 to create different cup displays using only a grapple made out of rubber bands and string! The size of the tables are perfect and accommodate just enough space for up to 4 students to work together.

When the tables first arrived, the children were curious at the big boxes that the tables came in. We all worked together to open the boxes and when the first table was set up, they thought the tables were "so cool". They didn't want to use their desks anymore, they preferred to be at the tables!

As the school year progresses, we will continue to make use of these tables daily through various small group activities, as well as large group activities by pushing them together. The convenience of how lightweight they are makes them accessible to use anywhere in the classroom! There is also one being used for teachers in the center of the room that is surrounded by the student desks to put lesson materials on, as well. Thank you for contribution to help make our small group learning environment a success!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Restivo

My students need leveled books to increase their literacy skills. As a special educator, we have to differentiate instruction, and all the students are reading at different reading levels. If their literacy skills increase, the students will be able to move on to less restrictive environments within the education system. Once they become fluent readers they will be able to teach themselves and others! Unfortunately, our resources are scarce and it is best for children to read books that are paired to their independent and instructional levels of teaching to help them become stronger in building their reading fluency and reading comprehension. Reading is FUNdamental, develops our minds, helps us to discover new things, and develops our imaginations! Having leveled books and a storage cart in our classroom will not only encourage the children to read more and gain a love for reading because they will have texts that are more appropriate to their reading level.
