Get Cozy with 3K's Library/Writing Center
Funded May 31, 2024Thanks you for helping me get my project fully funded! Here's how the items in my classroom has impacted my students.
1. Wooden Writing Table: The new writing table creates a dedicated space where students can practice writing, drawing, and expressing themselves through creative activities. It's the perfect size for pre-K students and makes it easier to keep materials organized, helping them feel empowered and focused in a structured environment.
2. Bookcase: The bookcase has transformed how books are displayed and accessed, making them more visible and inviting. Now, students can freely choose books, which promotes their love for reading and independence.
3. Weighted Shoulder Wrap: This sensory tool helps students who may feel anxious or need a bit of calming support. The weighted wrap provides a comforting, grounding effect, which can improve focus and help students feel safe and secure in the classroom.
4. Tee Pee Tent: The tent has become a cozy reading nook and a place where students can retreat to regulate their emotions or take a break when they're feeling overwhelmed. It provides a small, private space within the classroom that's calming and inviting.
5. Folk Board with Nursery Rhymes: The nursery rhyme board brings the joy of traditional songs and rhymes into daily activities, encouraging language development, rhythm, and memory skills. It's also a fantastic way for students to engage in group activities and build social connections.
These resources have collectively enhanced the learning environment by creating functional spaces and tools that support early literacy, sensory needs, and social-emotional growth in my pre-K classroom.”

"Wild About Visuals"
Funded Jan 13, 2017The document camera has been an amazing tool to have in the classroom. Instead of giving the students individual assignments in the classroom, i have been able to give them whole classroom assignments. Which is more interactive and this has allowed the students to create more discussion. Since I have gotten the document camera I have been able to maintain students attention during many of the lessons being taught.
The document camera has helped our students with placing objects or items under the document camera and explaining what they are showing. This to them is very exciting, especially since many of my students are visual learners. Students has had the opportunity to see their own ideas come to life, which is amazing. Thank you to all who donated, I am truly grateful.”
