The Wacom Intuos Tablets will be used as an instrumental tool for students to engage in creating digital art projects. Specifically, they will be used by students to create original 2D and 3D animation projects. In this way, they will be developing their art skills in an applied technology environment that are used by a wide-variety of professionals in fields including entertainment media (movies, video games, comics), marketing (concept art, product design), and technical & scientific fields (3D modeling, interactive simulations). It is our goal to establish within the extracurricular club a student-driven team of digital animators that will serve to develop original works and new resources to assist teachers and enrich the education of their fellow students within the classroom environment. On a higher scale, students will learn to work collaboratively and establish a simulated work-environment that develops responsibility, time-management skills, communication skills, and tenacity through the development process. While our goals are set and the interest is strong, we are currently missing the key component to bring this project to life. The drawing tablets are essential to developing skills as professional animators. We appreciate all of your donations to help our students realize their S.T.E.A.M. dreams.
