In order to achieve a full sound in a large ensemble, it is necessary to have a large range of notes. The standard guitar has a mid to high range of notes at its disposal but lacks the deep, thunderous bass notes that are generally played by the string bass or tuba in large symphonies. Adding bass guitar to our ensembles will enrich the harmonies played by the entire ensemble and will provide students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge to a new instrument. By donating to this project, you will be providing our students with the opportunity to explore new musical paths. Your donation will not only affect students who take guitar this year, but will also enhance the learning of hundreds of students for years to come!
