Our school is looking to bring the SMART Lab program to our school as part of our weekly specials rotation for all of our students. The SMART Lab program will help enhance our students' creativity, scientific knowledge, and problem solving abilities while allowing students hands on opportunities to learn about science and technology. Through the SMART Lab program students will work through various modules that focus on computer science, graphic design, digital storytelling, circuitry, and engineering. They will be asked to reflect on their learning through use of a student journal and will be able to explore concepts learned about in class in a more in depth fashion. As part of this project we will need additional headphones so students can utilize video editing and story telling software. Several of our activities also has audio that that the students will need to access but not disrupt their neighbors while they are working.
