Instruments For Our Band
Funded Dec 29, 2013Our students are still amazed that we have received 12 brand new flutes. This was an amazing show of generosity that left us speechless. Our new fourth grade band flute players were using old flutes. When these flutes were delivered we swapped out the old and gave the new. The students eyes lit up. It was amazing to be able to be a small part of this process. WIthout people like you this process doesn't exist.
Our current third graders are looking at these new instruments and can't wait for the chance to be in the band next year. There is an excitement in the air about the new instruments and joining the band. This wouldn't be possible without your generous donations.
Our motto at our school is "pay it forward". We are always giving back to the community in any way we can. Thanks to you and your generous donations our students see that someone was able to "pay it forward" for us.”

Stands for our Band
Funded Nov 12, 2013Thanks to your generous donations we have been able to offer band to more students. These stands are portable which means that it will make it easier to pack up and play at an event outside of school. Music gives students another chance to excel at something. Some students just need the opportunity and with these new stands you have created opportunity.
Our fourth grade band has 48 students in it and now we have enough stands to accommodate these students. These stands will give us the ability to sustain a significantly sized band for years to come. Without these stands we couldn't expand our enrollment in band.
Our students were amazed that we have brand new stands. They couldn't believe that people donated money to help us purchase brand new stands. Every time we set up for band they are impressed with our new stands and realize that people that we don't even know care about us.”

Funded Apr 23, 2013In a time of high stakes testing and education being used as a platform for personal agendas rather than to nurture the different abilities of all children the students need to have opportunity for growth and success in other disciplines. Thanks to people like you our children will have this opportunity. These instruments will enable us to reach more students every year.
Learning an instrument uses almost all of Gardner's 9 multiple intelligences. Kinesthetic learners have a chance to excel in instrumental music. Children are given a textbooks and taught science, math and other subjects. With instrumental music the students have the tool needed in their hands for learning. It is not an abstract concept. The students are able to hold the instrument and play the instrument. It is a completely different learning experience.
Our administration and parents are strong supporters of the arts. With your generosity our music program will thrive for many years to come. Without even meeting our students you have had a positive impact on their lives and education.”

An Alto Saxophone for our Band
Funded Jan 7, 2010This letter is written as a thank you for your generous donation to our music program. Your donations have helped our students everyday.
The Alto Saxophone that you all have donated to our school community have helped our students excel everyday. More of our students will have the opportunity to learn how to play the Alto Saxophone and experience music in a band setting. This would not have been possible without all of your generous donations.
Every year is difficult financially and this year it has been especially difficult to come up with funds for new instruments. Without donors like you are music program would be unable to grow. Donors like you help schools sustain their ability to become well rounded students.”
