Water Crisis Aversion! No More Flints.
Funded Feb 27, 2019"It's free?!"
"Can I take some home?"
"Do you want any?"
"Who wants some water?"
"I actually want to come to this class!"
"It makes it feel better in here."
"We are running low on cups."
"I remembered my water bottle to fill up today!"
"Can I get some water?" "Is it okay if I get some water?" "Can I use one of the cups?"---(students in nearby classrooms)
"Hey, would you mind if I also grab some of this?" --(teachers in nearby classrooms)
The addition of the water filter to our classroom has been incredible! Students and teachers around the building have been excited and stopped by to try it out! No doubt it has improved the comfort and camaraderie of our young people. No longer do I hear endless requests to go to the vending machines. Many students hurry to get to class after gym and lunch, which is good for them and even better for me. Thank you so much for your empathy and generosity.”

Reading Longer, Reading Stronger!
Funded Dec 5, 2016Thanks so much to all of you for helping immigrant students in need attending public school here in NYC. Your donation is really invaluable. I'm sure that you too understand that it's unfortunate that we have to use corporations like this to fund our schools; while supportive, Donors Choose requires students to breach their privacy and commercialize themselves just to access materials to learn. Please support public education through your vote and activism as well, especially in these times. We'll keep doing our part, too.”
With gratitude,
Teacher Smith
