Flexible seating options creates a welcoming environment for all different types of learners. A choice of seating options will create an inclusive environment where all intelligence's are honored. The ball chairs will enable students to move while they are working to bounce in a stationary, controlled way. The stools will help students sit around the small group table without crowding each other's space. The stools will also help students stay alert in class. The fidget toys will be used for those students who need something to fiddle with in order to focus during whole group lessons and for students who need a brain break and will use the toy to calm down when upset. The elastic bands for the chairs will help students wiggle their feet while they work. The carpet is essential for whole group lessons. My students need to sit in their own personal space while they are sitting for whole group lessons. The calming colors will help students focus on the lesson. Flexible seating allows students to take ownership of their own education. Giving students choice in the classroom will foster their sense of independence and encourage them to reflect on who they are as learners.
