Digital Support for ELLs
Funded Mar 8, 2024The iPad donated to our classroom really helped the students put into practice the skills they were learning. The language acquisition for my ELL's was enhanced due to this added technology. It helped them enhance their ability to learn the material and become more comfortable with the skills. Their preparations for the State Exams went smoothly thanks to your donations.

This portable dry erase board makes small group instruction easier. These students love the privacy it affords them when they are struggling and do not want their classmates to know. It has already helped boost the confidence of some of my students and they have found a new passion for math.
We have already used it several times and plan to continue to do so all year. The math instruction has become more engaging and and in-depth for my struggling students.
I hope that this board will aid me in providing the best possible educational experience for my students. They are all hard working and deserve the best experiences possible. Thank you so much for investing in our futures!”

These resources really helped us get the start of the new school year under way. Many of my students were unable to bring in the required supplies on their own, and this helped them get started with the rest of their classmates without any sense of feeling inferior.
All of the students love the hands-on manipulatives. The students were all excited and enthusiastic about not only learning new concepts, but also being able to use the new manipulatives to reinforce their learning. They are making learning new math skills easier with the hands-on activities. The math stations are engaging and they have helped create a sense of friendly competition among some. They have been pushing each other in friendly competitions to see who can better solve problems with new strategies.
I hope that these materials will help me in providing the best possible educational experience for my students. They are all hard working and deserve the best experiences possible. We plan to make these materials the foundation for our preparations for the NY State Exams later in the year.

These resources really helped us get the start of the new school year under way. Many of my students were unable to bring in the required supplies on their own, and this helped them get started with the rest of their classmates without any sense of feeling inferior.
All of the students love the supply baskets we made to keep their learning process continuous. All necessary supplies are only an arm's reach away for them to use at any moment.
One of the things we will be doing this year is a Soap Box project in which they will be choosing a social topic to take a stance on. To begin, they will need to write all of their thoughts and feelings, in addition to research on the topic, to create a presentation/speech in support of their topic. These materials will be a great help in their writing process.”

These books have brought a new level of excitement to our classroom library. The sports themed books enhanced their love of reading. During independent reading time, the students cannot wait to get their hands on of these books, so they can share and discuss their thoughts with their classmates.
Some of my students who were resistant to reading, found a passion when these books arrived. They especially loved the ones written by the professional wrestlers.”

Funded Jan 24, 2023I don't know where to begin to express my gratitude for all your generosity. I guess, to start with- THANK YOU!!!!! The hats, gloves, and scarves were a huge hit with the students. Luckily, we did not have such a brutally cold winter, but the students were thrilled when they got their new hats, glove, and scarves. They wore them every day and I know it helped many of them avoid getting sick this winter.
